MEXICO CITY — This is not the pina colada Cancun of your cruise ships, but a vibrant, sprawling, city center full of busy international vibes; welcoming and interesting. Smiling friendly people with places to be.
Beautiful snow-covered mountain peaks loom over Mexico City. Small, colorful taco stands decorate every corner, busy with lunch regulars. The sidewalks are filled with people and the traffic lanes are filled with mopeds and cars, door-to-door, bumper-to-bumper. Car horns and dog barks fill the air. It is a full sensory experience.
And the first big billboard rising out of the Mexico City airport? It advertises Chevrolets.

There might be some confusion in the Xfinity Series at a couple dates this season, as there will be two drivers named Austin Hill competing at three race.
Of course, Austin Hill of Richard Childress Racing has been a mainstay in the Xfinity Series over the past couple of seasons, elevating to become one of the top wheelmen on the circuit. He won last weekend’s race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, bringing the 30-year old’s total to 11 career victories.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — When one door closed, another much different one opened for Nate McBride.
“I don’t know what God has in store for me, but I will trust in his process,” said McBride in a 2021 post on social media.
It was in that January 2021 posting that the former Vidalia High School and University of Georgia standout announced his football playing days were done.
While playing for the Bulldogs was a dream come true, what came next was never on his radar.
“It was an uncertain thing and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do it,” said McBride.

At just 18 years old, Connor Zilisch is set to make his NASCAR Cup Series debut this weekend in the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas. Trackhouse Racing’s young phenom racer, who won in his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut a season ago, says he feels more confident in driving the NASCAR Cup Series car than he did the Xfinity car.
“Honestly, I feel like the cup car is more like what I’m used to,” Zilisch said in a Tuesday media availability. “You know, racing, sports cars, I’ve run a sequential gearbox in a TA car, and MX5 Cup car. You know, I think the build of the car is a lot more like I’m used to. It’s a stiffer platform, it’s an independent rear suspension. Everything is more like [what] I’m used to racing sports cars.” (more…)
