WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Chris Donnelly electrified a massive holiday dirt track racing crowd on Independence Day, Sunday, July 4, at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, winning the inaugural “Sprint Car Spectacular” event in dramatic fashion. Donnelly’s win highlighted a jam-packed card that also included a remarkable fireworks show and victories for Demetrios Drellos, Beau Reeves, Chris Murray, Chris Sumner, Greg Zindler Jr., Ray Hanson, and Eric Leno. Zych, Cabral Take NEMA Wins on Wiscasset AMES True Value Night

Last Saturday evening, the Northeastern Midget Association rolled into one of its favorite stops of the year, at the Wiscasset Speedway.  Multi time champion John Zych beat back a brief challenge from 2019 champion Avery Stoehr to take down the NEMA portion of the show under threatening skies, and Randy Cabral took down the Lites portion of the event in his family owned #36.

Mckennedy, Trainor & Scally Win In Special Wednesday Night Open-Wheel Show At Seekonk Speedway
SEEKONK, Mass. — While the sun went down, the action heated up on Wednesday night at Seekonk Speedway for a mid-week, open-wheel special. The ISMA Supermodifieds returned to the third-mile for the first time in a decade, and Jon McKennedy rolled to a dominating victory, while the NEMA Midgets and NEMA Lites also hit the track. Jake Trainor won the 50-lap Lite special and Paul Scally etched his name in the record books as a NEMA winner in their 29-lap Boston Louie Seymour Memorial feature.

Adam Pierson dominated the Northeast Crate Nationals 100 until a late-arriving Vince Quenneville took command with 11 laps left. Pierson held the lead through 10 restarts during the 100-lap race, but Quenneville pulled to the outside after the final restart on lap 88, ran next to Pierson for a lap, and pulled away in the final circuits.

In a “wreckers to checkers” storybook ending, Matt Merry left Claremont Speedway last fall on a “double hook” with a badly damaged race car, and last weekend returned to LEE USA Speedway to capture his first ever feature event victory.  In the Lites division, Jake Trainor drove the Seymour 29 to an impressive victory over the field, winning by nearly 3 seconds.
