Wright Motorsports Finishes Runner up in WeatherTech SportsCar Championship

BRASELTON, Ga., (October 2, 2022) – When Wright Motorsports secured their monumental victory at the Rolex 24 At Daytona in January, the Porsche customer racing team immediately showed they would be a championship contender for the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Sunday at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, the battle for the GTD class title came down to the final laps, and with a fourth-place finish, the Wright Motorsports Porsche finished as runner-up in the championship standings. Montecalvo Ready To Conquer Season Finale At Petit Le Mans

Wednesday, September 28, 2022 – Highlands, NJ – Vasser Sullivan driver Frankie Montecalvo is ready to take on the final round of the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship – Petit Le Mans. Montecalvo will contest the ten-hour endurance race with co-drivers Aaron Telitz and Richard Heistand.

The race marks the 25^th Anniversary of the Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. Montecalvo has scored multiple top-five finishes at Petit Le Mans and a third place in 2021 but has yet to bring home a win. That’s something he’s hoping to change this weekend. (more…)

DXDT Racing Assembles Stout Lineups for Indianapolis 8 Hour

STATESVILLE, N.C. (September 28, 2022) – This October, the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS series will conclude the 2022 race season with the biggest race of the year: The Indianapolis 8 Hour. Mercedes AMG customer racing team DXDT Racing will be armed with stout lineups, adding Valentin Pierburg and Patrick Assenheimer to the No. 63 Mercedes AMG GT3 and No. 08 Mercedes AMG GT3, respectively.

Wright Motorsports Retains Championship Lead Following Heated Sebring Weekend

SEBRING, Fla., (September 26, 2022) – The penultimate event of the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS kept competitors and race fans guessing all weekend long, but the consistency of Wright Motorsports never faltered. With a third-place finish and a win in the pair of races by driver pairing Jan Heyelen and Charlie Luck, the team momentarily lost the championship points lead, but gained it back as the weekend came to a close.
