NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series – The Clock Strikes Heim Time

Corey Heim triumphed at Martinsville Speedway late Friday night to earn his first NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series victory of the season. The rain-shortened Truck race was Heim’s third win of his career, winning twice while running a partial schedule last season. The driver of the No. 11 TRICON Garage Toyota is the tenth different winner in the last ten races at Martinsville, marking it the longest active streak in the Truck Series.

New Englanders’ Performance During Racing At Martinsville
On Saturday Austin Hill scored a win in the Xfinity Series with Jeb Burton coming home in 11th place while Parker Kligerman of Westport, CT finished 23rd followed by Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT in 24th.  Finishing 32nd was Boston’s Kaz Grala.  Burton and Alfredo both race team cars for Cape Cod’s Chris and Mary Our who  reside in Harwich, MA.

NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Takes On “The Paperclip” Under the Lights

This weekend’s Long John Silver’s 200 at Martinsville Speedway (Friday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) marks the 45th NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race hosted by the half-mile short track. The inaugural event dates back to September 25, 1995, where Joe Ruttman led the final two laps to take the win.

In the Craftsman Truck Series  Joey Logano of Middletown, CT pulled off a win at Bristol while Parker Kligerman of Westport, CT was not so fortunate and ended up 31st.
In Sunday’s Cup race Christopher Bell won that one at the while Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT came in 24th with Corey LaJoie placing 30th. Joey Logano retired early and was given a 37th place. Corey LaJoie is the son of two-time Xfinity Champion Randy LaJoie.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (April 6, 2023) – NASCAR and Speedway Motorsports today announced details for the 2023 NASCAR All-Star Race to be held at North Wilkesboro Speedway on Sunday, May 21. The simplified format – featuring two heat races to set the starting lineup, a 100-lap All-Star Open and a 200-lap main event – puts the spotlight of the weekend on the historic .625-mile track, which will host its first NASCAR competition since 1996.

Niece Motorsports’ Carson Hocevar wins big at Texas, earns spot in Playoffs

Last weekend, Niece Motorsports’ Carson Hocevar was in the right place at the right time to take the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series victory in overtime at Texas Motor Speedway, after the race leaders, Nick Sanchez and Zane Smith, wrecked coming to the checkered flag. The victory was Hocevar’s first in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, and with the win the Michigan native has secured his spot in the Playoffs for the third time in his career (2021, 2022).

Zane Smith goes back-to-back at COTA

Front Row Motorsports’ Zane Smith continues to dominate the pack as he found Victory Lane again at the Circuit of The Americas last weekend, securing his second victory and third top-10 finish in 2023. Smith became the first repeat NASCAR winner at the famed road course and made the Front Row Motorsports team a perfect three-for-three in CRAFTSMAN Truck Series races at COTA, after taking the reins from Todd Gilliland (2021).
