Leading Plumbing Company to Partner with Multiple JRM Entries in 2025

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Oct. 16, 2024) – JR Motorsports announced today that Roto-Rooter, a leading innovator in the plumbing and drain cleaning industry, will return to the organization as primary partner for both Connor Zilisch and the No. 88 Chevrolet, and Carson Kvapil and the No. 1 Chevrolet for two races each during the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. In addition to their return to the NXS, Roto-Rooter will also be part of JRM’s heralded Late Model program as a full-season associate next year. (more…)

Shane van Gisbergen believes his short-lived playoffs run can ultimately be traced back to a DNF at Talladega Superspeedway.

In an article on SpeedCafe by Simon ChapmanVan Gisbergen wrecked at the famous high-banked oval with 20 laps to go, putting him below the cut-off line.

Expectations for the ROVAL race at Charlotte Motor Speedway were high given his road course prowess.

Hailie Deegan Moving to Indy NXT for 2025 Racing Season

After making her way through the ranks of dirt racing and stock car racing, Hailie Deegan will shift her focus to open-wheel racing in 2025, competing in INDY NXT by Firestone with HMD Motorsports.

Deegan will drive the No. 38 entry for the full 14-race calendar of INDY NXT, the INDYCAR development series. Deegan, 23, becomes the fifth confirmed driver for HMD Motorsports, joining teammates Caio Collet, Josh Pierson, Tommy Smith and Bryce Aron and will join her teammates at the Chris Griffis Memorial Test on Friday, Oct. 18 on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. Kyle Larson won the Cup race while Joey Logano of Middletown, CT came in eighth.  Not so fortunate were Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT who got 25th while Boston’s Kaz Grala came in 27th with Corey LaJoie being awarded 37th.  Corey is the son of Two-Time Xfinity Champion Randy LaJoie who grew up in Norwalk, CT before moving south.
Sam Mayer won the Xfinity race the previous day with Parker Kligerman of Westport, CT coming  in sixth while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT took 16th.  Not so fortunate was Blain Perkins who placed 33rd.  Perkins drives the entry owned by Cape Cod’s Chris and his daughter Mary Our who receive their mail in Chatham, MA.

NASCAR Weekend at Rockingham Speedway to Include ARCA Menards Series East

ROCKINGHAM, N.C. (October 10, 2024) – The historic Rockingham Speedway will welcome back the roar of NASCAR in 2025. Today, event promoter Track Enterprises announced the ARCA Menards Series East will join the NASCAR XFINITY and NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series on April 18-19, 2025.

The ARCA Menards Series East features established veterans and NASCAR’s next stars who compete primarily on the East Coast as a top-tiered development series owned by NASCAR. The 2024 ARCA Menards East Series season concluded last month and crowned two-time series champion William Sawalich, who is expected to step into a full-time NASCAR National Series ride next year. NASCAR Xfinity Series Elimination Time: Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course Up Next

The stakes are high for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoff contenders as they head to the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course for the Drive for the Cure 250 presented by BlueCross & BlueShield of North Carolina on Saturday, October 12 at 4 p.m. ET (The CW, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) – the first elimination race of the Playoff season.

This weekend’s race will be the seventh time the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course has hosted a NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoff race (2018-2024). The Charlotte Road Course has occupied two spots on the postseason schedule – in 2018 and 2019, the Charlotte ROVAL hosted the second race in the Round of 12 and then from 2020 to 2024, the 2.28-mile road course hosted the Round of 12 elimination race (the third race in the Playoffs).

Here’s How The New England Drivers And Those Who Have Connections With The Six State New England Area Did Over The Weekend At Talladega
Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. won the Cup race while Corey LaJoie finished 18th with Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT placing 24th and Joey Logano of Middletown, CT ended up 33rd while Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT finished 35th.  Corey LaJoie is the son of two-time Xfinity Champion Randy LaJoie who served his racing apprenticeship while a resident of Norwalk, CT before moving South to NC.
Sammy Smith ended up having a great day in the Xfinity Series pulling off the win.  Stamford, CT’s Parker Kligerman came in 12th with Blair Perkins finishing 18th then there was Anthony Alfredo doing double duty coming in 29th.  Next was Kyle Weatherman in 31st. Perkins and Weatherman along with Alfredo are teammates in the three-car stable owned by Cape Cod’s Chris Our and his daughter who are residents of Chatham, MA.
