- SMITH AT BRISTOL: Chandler Smith made his first NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) start at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) last year and finished in the top-five. Smith also has four NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series starts, including a 2021 win, at the World’s Fastest Half-Mile.
- WATKINS GLEN RECAP: Smith ran in the top-10 consistently during last weekend’s NXS race at Watkins Glen after qualifying sixth. The driver of the No. 81 picked up a couple of positions to finish fourth in the first stage. Strategy played into flipping the second stage to start up front in the final stretch of the race. Smith survived two overtime restarts to collect another top-five with a fourth-place finish.

Riley Herbst hopes to keep his strong runs rolling Friday night under the lights in the Food City 300 at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway. While the driver of the No. 98 Monster Energy Ford Mustang Dark Horse earned a 13th-place finish last Saturday at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) Austin Green Capitalizes on First NASCAR Opportunity
The Green family lineage runs deep in NASCAR. Both David Green and Jeff Green are Xfinity Series champions. Now, it’s Austin Green, David’s son, who’s carrying on the familial tradition.
Austin has been racing since he was 4 years old. He began racing go karts before transitioning to bandoleros and legend cars, running races like the Summer Shootout at the Charlotte Motor Speedway quarter mile. He was inspired by his father and uncles to chase the same dream. (more…)

- GRAF JR. 2024 NXS 4th AND FINAL RACE OF SEASON: The September 17th race at Bristol Motor Speedway will mark Joe Graf Jr.’s 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) 4th and final race of the season. Joe Graf Jr. has steadily been improving on his finishes this season (17th, 12th, 11th). Joe has performed well with Joe Gibbs Racing equipment with an average qualifying position of 12th. He will aim to continue the trend collecting a top-10 at Bristol to finish off 2024 before he looks to be back in a race car in ’25.
- RETURN TO JGR: Graf Jr. competed in the full, 33 race NXS season in 2023 where he had three impressive top-10 performances at Daytona, Homestead, and Kansas, highlighted by a best finish of seventh at Daytona.
Logan Bearden to Drive for AM Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Race at Bristol Motor Speedway
STATESVILLE, N.C.: Officials from AM Racing confirmed today that Logan Bearden will drive the team’s No. 15 Ford Mustang in Friday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Food City 300 at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway on September 20, 2024.
The final race of the regular NASCAR Xfinity Series season will be Bearden’s first driving for the Statesville, N.C.-based team, but his sixth Xfinity start of the season and first since Michigan International Speedway last month. (more…)

The NASCAR Xfinity Series is excited to take on the Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway, and the entry lists have been revealed.
For the Food City 300, there will be 39 entries, which means one driver will miss the show. Among the notable entries are Joe Graf Jr. and Ryan Truex for Joe Gibbs Racing. Also, Jeffrey Earnhardt will drive the No. 26 car for Sam Hunt Racing. Meanwhile, Carson Ware returns behind the wheel for his first start since 2021 with Joey Gase Motorsports. Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series at Watkins Glen International… Richard Childress Racing has two NASCAR Cup Series victories at Watkins Glen International. Robby Gordon won the 2003 event, leading the final 30 laps and scoring his third victory with RCR over the span of three seasons. Kevin Harvick captured the 2006 race at the New York road course, edging Tony Stewart for the victory, and claiming his first win at Watkins Glen. The victory was Harvick’s first on a road course and came in his 200th career Cup start. Dale Earnhardt won three poles (1990, 1992, 1996) for the Welcome, N.C.-based organization. RCR drivers have racked up eight top-five and 23 top-10 finishes in 81 starts at the New York road course. (more…)
