(Jan. 22, 2025) – Daytona International Speedway announced today that newly-crowned Miss America Abbie Stockard will serve as an honorary event official adding to the glam of the Rolex 24 weekend. She joins grand marshal Jamie Chadwick for the pre-race festivities before the iconic twice-around-the-clock marathon begins.
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Mercedes-AMG clinched a third-straight GT America powered by AWS Manufacturer Championship to highlight a successful season-ending weekend of SRO America competition at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) that included GT4 and GT2 race wins and a three-day haul of six total podium finishes. The half dozen visits to IMS victory lane included a pair of podium showings by Mercedes-AMG Performance Teams GruppeM Racing and Lone Star Racing. Maro Engel, Jules Gounon and Mikael Grenier drove the No. 130 Mercedes-AMG Team GruppeM Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 to a second-place Pro-class finish while the No. 4 Mercedes-AMG Team Lone Star Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Luca Stolz, Fabian Schiller and Alex Palou rallied to third-place Pro honors in Saturday’s Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC) Indianapolis 8 Hour. STAMFORD, Conn. – May 11, 2023 – The 2023 NTT INDYCAR SERIES heads to Indianapolis for the “Month of May” with live coverage of the GMR Grand Prix on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. Daytona Beach, FL (July 21, 2022) – Defending NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kyle Larson took home some more hardware Wednesday night, winning the 2022 ESPY Award for Best Driver. Larson topped Formula 1’s Max Verstappen, IndyCar’s Alex Palou and NHRA’s Steve Torrence for the honor.
