The Alpine A424s Return to Action in Austin

After the summer break, Alpine Endurance Team returns to the Americas for the resumption of the FIA World Endurance Championship in Austin, back on the calendar for the first time since 2020.

Inaugurated in 2012, the Circuit of the Americas has established itself as a favourite destination among competitors, with its gradients, including a steep climb to the first corner and its fast and technical sections spread over 5,513 metres. This layout offers plenty of challenges, and the drivers’ fitness will be severely tested by the high temperatures and counter-clockwise direction, which always punishes the neck muscles. (more…)

Wm. Byron won the Cup race with Joey Logano of Middletown, CT coming in 11^th while Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT placed 23^rd.Then it was Corey LaJoie in 24^th with Boston’s Kaz Grala finishing 27th. LaJoie is the son of Randy who grew up in Norwalk, CT and is a Two-Time Xfinity Champion.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s Chandler Smith took advantage of JR Motorsports’ Justin Allgaier’s late-race crash to come out victorious in last weekend’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Phoenix Raceway. The win was his first of the 2024 season and the second of his Xfinity Series career. The victory propelled Smith into the NASCAR Xfinity Series point standings lead for the first time in his series career.
