The moment we’ve all been waiting for is here – Championship Weekend at Phoenix Raceway.
The NASCAR Xfinity Series wrapped up the Round of 8 last weekend at Martinsville Speedway and will now head to Phoenix Raceway to crown a new NASCAR Xfinity Series champion. Four drivers – Austin Hill, A.J. Allmendinger, Cole Custer and Justin Allgaier – will vie for the title on Saturday, November 9 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship Race at 7:30 p.m. ET on The CW, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90).
If you made it out to Goodwives for last Sunday’s 2024 Cannonball reunion, you were treated to another great show. Cannonballers Pam Yates, Brock Yates Jr and John Miceli were there. Dennis Tretter brought the second Cannonball Challenger, and several of the C2C racers came with their cars. Pete Boccarossa from Bocca Motors came down with one of his Lamborghini race cars and opened it up for anyone to climb into for photos. And John C brought a classic red Ferrari 365 GTB “Daytona” that has been in his family since it was new. (more…)
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two NASCAR teams — one of them co-owned by Michael Jordan — filed a federal antitrust lawsuit against the stock car series and chairman Jim France on Wednesday, claiming the new charter system limits competition by unfairly binding teams to the series, its tracks and its suppliers.
23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports filed suit in the Western District of North Carolina in Charlotte after two years of contentious negotiations between the privately owned National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing and the 15 charter-holding organizations in the Cup Series, the organization’s top series. After ThorSport Racing’s Ty Majeski emerged victorious at Richmond Raceway two weeks ago, the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Playoffs are set to get underway this weekend at the historic Milwaukee Mile Speedway for the LiUNA! 175 on Sunday, August 25 at 4 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN, and SiriusXM Radio.
The 2024 season will mark the ninth running of the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Playoffs (2016-2024). Since the inception of the Playoff format in 2016, seven different drivers have hoisted the championship trophy – Johnny Sauter (2016), Christopher Bell (2017), Brett Moffitt (2018), Matt Crafton (2019), Sheldon Creed (2020), Ben Rhodes (2021, 2023), and Zane Smith (2022).
