The Foley Oil & Propane Late Models will go for 100 laps of exciting highbanked action in Round #3 of the Wall’s Ford Platinum Late Model Series and get in their final laps prior to the $50,000 Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 on August 5th.
Barre, VT — The annual Thursday Night opener at Thunder Road presented by Casella Waste Management brought fans to the edge of their seats with hard-nosed racing already becoming the definition of the 2023 season. Side-by-side battles were commonplace across the board as the season-long points chase came to the forefront of every driver’s mind with fans getting to experience old and new all together in year 64 high atop Quarry Hill. (Stafford Springs, CT)—Open Modified cars returned to Stafford Motor Speedway for their second of five visits of the 2023 season on Friday, May 19th for the Call Before You Dig Open 81. Glen Reen slowly worked his way to the front and he spent the majority of the second half of the race in the lead and he scored his first Open Modified win at Stafford. (more…)
Front Row Motorsports announced in December that they were bringing back both Michael McDowell and Todd Gilliland for another NASCAR Cup Series season, with McDowell set for his sixth year behind the wheel of the No. 34 Ford and Gilliland set for his second behind the wheel of the No. 38 Ford.

Barre, VT and Naples, ME — Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway roars back to life on Wednesday, September 14th with the $5,000-to-win Tripoint Showdown 75 for the Thompson Outlaw Open Modified Series plus championship action for the ACT-type Late Models, SK Lite Modifieds, Mini Stocks and special double 20-lap features for the Limited Sportsman. Sunoco Modifieds will not be included on the Tripoint Showdown program.
A large crowd filed through the gates for the Monster Truck Night of Destruction Saturday at Riverhead Raceway with Vinny Delaney of Islip Terrace scoring the victory in the Eagle Auto Mall Crate Modified feature event, his first of 2022. Also scoring big wains Saturday were Gerard Giordano of Freeport who won his first career Late Model event in a 50-lap contest and Jason Castaldo of Shirley who prevailed in the 30-lap INEX Legend Race Car event for his third win of 2022.
According to local weather experts it was supposed to be a pleasant final weekend of spring on Long Island. However suddenly Saturday evening a “clipper system” from the Northeast blew in and brought rain to Riverhead Raceway ending the program 25-laps into a scheduled 40-lap Crate Modified feature.
