Here’s How New England Connected Drivers Fared at the Big D’s Twin Qualifiers

Bubba Wallace managed to get a win in the first 500 Qualifier, and Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT came in 13th.

In the second go-around Austin Cindric made his way to Victory Lane with defending Cup Champion Joey Logano of Middletown, CT taking fifth place. Corey LaJoie finished sixth then it was Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT earning the 13th spot.

Note that Corey LaJoie is the son of Two-Time Xfinity Champion Randy LaJoie who grew up in Norwalk, CT before moving South to the Charlotte, NC area in order to be closer to the top NASCAR action.

(Stafford Springs, CT) — For the 10th consecutive season, Maybury Material Handling of East Longmeadow, MA, will be a first-place contingency program partner at Stafford Motor Speedway. Maybury will present a weekly bonus of $150 to each SK Modified® winner and a $150 bonus to each SK Light feature winner during the 2025 season. With both the SK Modified® and SK Light divisions each having 22 races on the schedule, Maybury will contribute a total of $6,600, with each division having a winning driver’s pool of $3,300. Then Saturday, GoFas pole qualifying will take place for the ASA STARS National Tour along with feature racing for the JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour/Nashville Pro Late Models, CRA Street Stocks, and Vores Compact Touring Series. That all leads up to Sunday afternoon action for the Super Late Models in a 300-lap affair for $20k to win.

‘Deathly Sick’ Kevin Harvick Pushes Through Unbearable Illness in Vegas in Big Reveal

Kevin Harvick overcame a “deathly” illness to compete in the CARS Tour Super Late Model race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. As he reflected on the experience during his podcast, Harvick admitted to the severe illness he and his team endured leading up to the race weekend. Despite battling intense nausea and discomfort, Harvick secured a remarkable fourth-place finish.

The CARS Tour West event was Harvick’s debut in this series, held at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Harvick, who retired from full-time NASCAR Cup Series racing, is enjoying his time in Late Model racing, a passion he shares with his son, Keelan. (more…)
