HAMPTON, Ga. – Timing his pass on the last lap to perfection, Georgia native Chase Elliott charged past Brad Keselowski and held off the driver of the No. 6 Ford to win Saturday night’s Quaker State 400 at Echo Park Speedway.
The popular victory in the first event of the NASCAR Cup Series’ In-Season Challenge broke a 44-race drought for Elliott dating to last year’s win at Texas Motor Speedway. The win was the second at EchoPark for the driver of the No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet and the 20th of his career.

The final weekend of June will be one of “firsts” when it comes to NASCAR racing.
For the first time this season, the NASCAR Cup Series will race at a venue for the second time, though in the interim, Atlanta Motor Speedway has acquired new entitlement as EchoPark Speedway.
(Antigonish, NS), June 26, 2025 – The NASCAR Canada Series resumes this Saturday, June 28, with the Riverside 300, marking the second event of the 2025 season. The event will feature 300 laps of racing on the high-banked 1/3-mile asphalt oval.
Last year’s winner Kevin Lacroix, in the No. 74 Adaptive One Calipers / NAPA Racing Chevrolet, returns to Riverside International Speedway aiming for another strong performance.
In 167 NASCAR Cup Series starts at EchoPark Speedway, Richard Childress Racing has earned nine wins and three pole awards, including Kevin Harvick’s emotional victory in 2001. Dale Earnhardt won eight times at the Hampton, Ga., track under the RCR banner (1984-fall, 1986-fall, 1988-spring, 1989-fall, 1990-spring, 1995-fall, 1996-spring, 2000-spring). The Welcome, N.C., team has 31 top-five and 64 top-10 finishes at Atlanta and has led a total of 3,045 laps at the 1.54-mile oval.
DAYTONA BEACH, Florida (June 26, 2025) – Seven-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion Jimmie Johnson will realize a dream of a lifetime this summer, and one winning bidder and a guest can be part of it all in the latest Motorsports Hall of Fame of America (MSHFA) charity fundraising auction on Bring a Trailer.
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (June 26, 2025) – After enjoying five consecutive victory lane celebrations, Corey LaJoie aims to make it six straight when the checkered flag falls on Saturday night’s Quaker State 400 at EchoPark Speedway in Hampton, Georgia.
This one, however, would be the sweetest.
