Championship Weekend To Close Out Riverhead Raceway Regular Season Saturday & Sunday

The 2024 Riverhead Raceway regular season concludes this weekend when Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz present the traditional Championship Weekend doubleheader. Seven 2024 NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series champions will be crowned Saturday evening September 28th, with an additional eight track champions to earn their titles Sunday afternoon September 29th. All that will remain in 2024 after this weekend is in the books will be the 8th annual Islip 300, a $10,000 to win Tour Type Modified event Saturday November 16th.

William Sawalich Repeats at Bristol to Capture His Second ARCA Menards Series East Championship

BRISTOL, Tenn. – In racing, luck is often just as important as skill. That was the case for William Sawalich on Thursday night at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Not only did Sawalich win the Bush’s Beans 200 for the second straight season at Bristol, but he also won his second ARCA Menards Series East championship thanks to a stroke of bad luck for title rival Connor Zilisch, who entered the East Series season finale with a 16-point lead.

“We had a really fast Starkey-Soundgear Toyota Camry today,” Sawalich said. “I had Tony Hirschman in my ear just to kind of calm me down and make me be cautious around those lap cars. That was definitely the whole race right there.”

Seekonk Championship Final Four Fields To Be Set, Wall Of Fame Inductions Help Headline Racing Weekend

As Seekonk Speedway hits the final two weekends of the short-track racing season for Fast Friday and NASCAR Saturday, September 20-21 will determine the Final Four who will compete for the title in each division. As the Sunoco Drive For The Cup revs up, after feature event racing on both nights, four drivers will have the right to contend for the title, while two in each division will go home hoping for another shot next year. Kids are back in school, the temperature outside is beginning to cool down and the leaves on the trees are beginning to change. Fall is quickly approaching and unfortunately for race fans in New England, that can only mean one thing: the end of the season is near. Fortunately, Wiscasset Speedway still has a couple more weeks of racing before they put a bow on the 2024 schedule.

Center Conway’s Gabe Brown Sweeps Wall’s Ford Platinum Series En-Route to Championship

N. Woodstock, NH — A picture perfect evening in North Woodstock, New Hampshire on Saturday night for the Wall’s Ford Platinum Series championship showdown. The evening started off with two Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kid’s Division feature events. Split with a larger car count entering the pit area on Saturday, feature one saw young Madison Potter hold onto the lead, even after a hair-raising restart following Colton Williams’ smash-up with the turn two wall.

Potter took down her first career Kid’s Division victory with an all-female podium featuring a hard-charging Chloe Doyle taking second and Makenzi Sicard coming home third. Feature two saw Connor Charbonneau pace the early going as Hayden Bushey and Colby Stygles powered their way to the front from their back-row starting spots. The battle came down to the final lap with Hayden Bushey claiming the win over Stygles and Charbonneau hanging on for third. (more…)
