Christopher, Gray, Morrison, Clement & Hydar Score Oct. 4 NAPA Championship Night Wins at Stafford; Molleur, Gambacorta, Clement, & Downey Clinch Track Titles

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted its final Friday night race program of the 2024 season with NAPA Auto Parts Championship Night on October 4. Feature wins were notched by Michael Christopher, Jr. in the SK Modified® feature, Adam Gray in the Late Model feature, Josh Morrison in the SK Light feature, Matt Clement in the Limited Late Model feature, and Travis Hydar in the Street Stock feature. Tyler Chapman had already secured the SK Light track championship last week and the other 2024 track champions are Andrew Molleur in the SK Modified® division, Kevin Gambacorta for the second consecutive season in the Late Model division, Matt Clement in the Limited Late Model division, and Travis Downey in the Street Stock feature. After 19 grueling races across 18 different venues, the 2024 ARCA Menards Series season will conclude this weekend at Toledo Speedway.

Since hosting its first race for the ARCA Menards Series back in 1963, Toledo has occasionally served as the season finale date. Saturday’s Owens Corning 200 will be the fourth consecutive year the ARCA Menards Series championship has been decided at Toledo and the seventh time overall. (more…)

Puleo, Gray, Chapman, Hammann, & Hydar Score Sept. 27 Weekly Racing Wins at Stafford; Tyler Chapman Clinches SK Light Track Championship

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted its penultimate Weekly Racing event of the 2024 season on Friday, Sept. 27. Taking down feature wins on the night were Jon Puleo in the SK Modified® feature, Adam Gray in the Late Model feature, Tyler Chapman in the SK Light feature, Rich Hammann in the Limited Late Model feature, and Travis Hydar in the Street Stock feature. Champan’s SK Light victory, his ninth of the season, enabled him to clinch the 2024 SK Light track championship.

In the 40-lap SK Modified® feature, Anthony Flannery led the field to green and he took the early lead but the field was only able to complete one lap before the caution flew for Ethan Durocher, who came to a stop on the frontstretch grass with damage to his right front suspension. (more…)

This weekend, drivers Adam Adelson and Elliott Skeer prepare to conclude the fight for the Fanatec GT World Challenge championship title, with Laurin Heinrich joining them in the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R for the Indianapolis 8 Hour. JCR Motorsports Continuing Enduro & Bandolero Championship Awards Tradition Sunday At Riverhead Raceway

Since 2020 Jimmy & Angela Rennick of JCR Motorsports have provided championship awards involving the Enduro racing at Riverhead Raceway. That tradition will continue on Championship Sunday with the Rennick’s JCR Motorsports presenting championship trophies for the three Enduro divisions of Riverhead Raceway along with the three classifications of Bock Auto INEX Bandolero racing. Second through fifth place drivers also receive JCR Motorsports awards in a post-race presentation.

D.A.V. Championship Weekend To Crown 2024 Seekonk Speedway Champions September 27-28

Pro Stock Final Four: Dylan Estrella, Bobby Pelland III, Vinnie Arrenegado, Mike Brightman

With 11 playoff points after the first two weeks, Dylan Estrella leads the Pro Stock Final Four. The Everett’s Auto Parts Racing driver of the No. 46 stormed to the front of the pack often throughout the season, visiting Victory Lane multiple times and always being a threat for the podium. Bobby Pelland III is another former Late Model champion looking to add a Pro Stock title to his resume. Pelland has multiple victories this season and always finds himself around the podium at the end of the night. After making the Final Four last year and coming up just short, Pelland looks to rebound and seal the deal this year. Vinnie Arrenegado is one driver who has put together a season filled with second-place finishes. To be exact, Arrenegado finished second SEVEN times. He will lock up the Rookie of the Year award in the Pro Stocks, but the former Late Model champion wants Pro Stock title gold.

And no one can count out Mike Brightman either. Another Final Four run for him will come down to the wire, with Brightman also looking to add to a previous Late Model Seekonk title. Brightman ended the regular season with his first victory of the season and seems ready to chase the crown. The Pro Stock championship event is 50 laps.

Phoenix Raceway Announces Sellout for NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race on Sunday, Nov. 10

PHOENIX – As a number of regional businesses and community guests gathered at Phoenix Raceway on September 12 to celebrate the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs and raise funds for the Fighter Country Foundation, the track announced that grandstand seats are sold out for the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race on Sunday, Nov. 10. It marks the seventh consecutive Cup Series event to sell out at the mile-long doglegged oval and the fourth consecutive sellout for the Cup Series Championship.
