In addition, the leading innovation brand will serve as the primary partner on multiple entries for the No. 6 and No. 17 NASCAR Cup Fords during the 2022 season.
CHARLOTTE – NASCAR Hall of Famer and three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Tony Stewart joins Mike Joy and former colleague Clint Bowyer on the FOX Sports call of the inaugural Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum on Sunday, Feb. 6 (6:00 PM ET on FOX) and the 64th running of the Great American Race on Sunday, Feb. 20 (2:30 PM ET on FOX).
The writing was on the wall. When Rick Ware Racing announced last October that they’d form an alliance with Stewart-Haas Racing and when Ryan Preece was announced as a reserve driver for SHR for 2022, that the No. 15 Ford for RWR would be where Preece would be housed for select races during this upcoming NASCAR Cup Series season. While 2022 marks the 74th year of the NASCAR Cup Series, it also ushers in a new era for stock-car racing’s premier division. A new car debuts on a new track, with the NextGen car seeing its first racing action Feb. 5-6 on a purpose-built, quarter-mile, asphalt oval inside the confines of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum kicks off the 2022 season at a track other than Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway for the first time since 1981 when the series opened its schedule on a road course at Riverside (Calif.) International Raceway, approximately 50 miles east of Los Angeles. Riverside is long gone, the site now home to the Moreno Valley Mall, but the L.A. Coliseum was at 311 Figueroa Street 34 years before Riverside opened its doors in 1957 and it’s still there today. (Nov. 9, 2021) – NASCAR today announced the qualifying elements and race format for the first-ever Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum, the unprecedented 150-lap main event highlighting two days of racing action at the iconic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, Feb. 5 and Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022.

Some of Seekonk Speedway’s best NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series competitors will be switching their cars to a new set of rules to compete in the inaugural Bay State Classic on Wednesday, July 28. Seekonk’s weekly competitors normally run without bump stops in their front shocks, per the Seekonk rules. However, for the invading Pro All Star Series $10,000 to win special, bump stops are allowed, and all drivers will be switching over to be as competitive as possible in their efforts to defend the home turf.
