NASCAR Studios and Words + Pictures Hit Docuseries “RISING” Returns for Season 2, Streaming Exclusively on Xumo Play

New Season Follows Dynamic Young Stars Including Carson Hocevar, Connor Zilisch and Brenden “Butterbean” Queen

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (June 23, 2026) – NASCAR Studios, in partnership with Emmy® Award-winning studio Words + Pictures, today announced that Season 2 of its acclaimed documentary series RISING will stream exclusively on Xumo Play, continuing an inside look at the sport’s next generation of stars as they navigate the pressure, promise and unpredictability of professional stock car racing.

Under the agreement, Xumo Play, a free ad-supported TV (FAST) service available across all major streaming platforms that offers hundreds of channels and thousands of on-demand titles, will serve as the exclusive streaming home of RISING Season 2 for six months following the release of the final installment. Episodes will also be published on NASCAR’s YouTube channel 14 days after their original air date on Xumo Play.

AJ Allmendinger to Make 500th NASCAR Cup Series Start On Sunday at Sonoma Raceway in Front of Home State Fans

SONOMA, Calif. —  A week after posting a season’s best fifth-place finish at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego, Kaulig Racing driver AJ Allmendinger will celebrate his 500th NASCAR Cup Series start Sunday at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway.

“Reaching 500 Cup Series starts is something I never could have imagined when I first got behind the wheel,” said Allmendinger, driver of the No. 16 NASCAR Cup Series entry. “To do it at Sonoma, in my home state of California, with the men and women at Kaulig Racing makes it even more special. I’ve been fortunate to race for great teams, work alongside incredible people and enjoy the support of amazing fans throughout my career.

How Did Talladega Treat The Northeastern Drivers Last Weekend?

Talladega SuperspeedwayCarson Hocevar won the Cup Race at Talladega.  Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT finished 18th  while Joey Logano of Middletown, CT had another bad day with a 39th place finish.

In the O’Reily Series it was Corey Day who went to Victory Lane.  Patrick Emerling, of LI, NY was 16th with Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT ending up 31st.

A Menard ARCA race was also on the weekend card with Andy Jankowiak of Buffalo, NY winning that one.  Gio Ruggiero of Seekonk, MA came in fifth.

It was a grand return for the New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150 with the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour at Lee USA Speedway on Saturday.  (Alan Ward photo)

Lee, NH — Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour heat winners Kaiden Fisher and Gabe Brown earned the front row of the New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150 by each earning a +5 in qualifying action. After suffering with ignition issues all of Friday practice, Fisher made his presence known by leading the early circuits before Jimmy Renfrew Jr. got around him on the lap 7 restart. Renfrew kept pace ahead of the pack while the 32-car field spread out, easing the pressure on their Hoosier Racing Tires against the rough, aged surface of Lee USA Speedway.

Ryan Blaney won the Cup race at Phoenix while Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT came in13th while Joey Logano of Middletown, CT finished  31st while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT placed 33rd.  Justin Allgaier won the O’Rielly Series race there with Anthony Alfredo came home in tenth.  In the Indy Car race at Arlington, TX had Kyle Kirkwood got to Victory Lane  with Santino Ferrucci of Woodbury, CT finishing in 17th .

From Darlington this past weekend….

Tyler Reddick won the Cup race with Ryan Preece coming in 13th and Joey Logano of Middletown, CT ending up 34th.  Justin Allgaier took the O’Reilly Series with Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT coming in 12th.  The Craftsman Trucks saw Corey Heim take that one while Gio Ruggiero of Seekonk, MA was eighth while Corey LaJoie ended up 21st.  Corey’s dad is Randy LaJoie from Norwalk, CT who also is a two-time O’ Reilly Champion.
