A couple of familiar faces returned to victory lane at Riverhead Raceway Saturday evening when “The Fancy Farmer” Dave Brigati of Calverton won the 40-lap Late Model feature event while Erin Solomito of East Quogue topped the Super Pro Truck 20-lap event. A large crowd on hand for the Monster Truck Night of Destruction greeted both upon exiting their winning machines.

Dave Antos & Joe Warren Visit Championship Sunday Victory Lane At Riverhead Raceway
Contested a week later than planned due to weather, Championship Sunday rolled into action at Riverhead Raceway Sunday afternoon under sunny skies. Leading the way to victory lane were Dave Antos of Lindenhurst who topped the 30-lap Street Stock event clinching his 4th track championship in the process, while Joe Warren Jr. of Ridge prevailed in the 30-lap Mini Stock main event.

For race teams and fans on Long Island the first practice day leading up to a new race season is a annual right of spring. Saturday morning Riverhead Raceway swung open the pit gates to officially start on track activity for the 72nd season of racing, quickly the paddock area was overflowing with race cars readying for opening night in tow weeks on Saturday May 7th. Jack Arute, Dave Sutherland Joining GW Promotional Group For 2022 Season
GW Promotional Group announced on Tuesday that Jack Arute and Dave Sutherland have both joined the team for the 2022 racing season. Both Arute and Sutherland will be part of the Whitcomb 5 Series — a group of five races that will take place in New Hampshire with special events scheduled to be part of the calendar.
