NHMS EVP/GM David McGrath Excited for 2025 NASCAR Playoffs Weekend at “The Magic Mile”
New Hampshire Motor Speedway will host the NASCAR Cup and CRAFTSMAN Truck Series during the Sept. 19-21, 2025 NASCAR Playoffs weekend, which will also feature the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.
LOUDON, N.H. – New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) Executive Vice President and General Manager David McGrath spoke to media Thursday following NASCAR’s 2025 schedule announcement, which includes a Sept. 19-21 visit to NHMS by the NASCAR Cup Series (NCS), NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) and NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT).
The 2025 NCS race at NHMS will kick off the Round of 12 on Sunday, Sept. 21 while the NCTS race will join the Mohegan Sun 100 NWMT race on Doubleheader Saturday, Sept. 20 and serve as a Round of 10 cutoff race to solidify the Round of 8.
Toyota’s David Wilson Retiring, Tyler Gibbs to be Appointed President
Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) today announced executive leadership changes as David Wilson, group vice president and president of TRD, U.S.A. (Toyota Racing Development), will retire on December 16 after 35 years with the organization. OSBORN, Mo. — A little luck never hurts, especially in Sprint Car Racing.
Sheldon Haudenschild appeared poised for a third straight US 36 Raceway victory on Friday night. He’d taken the lead early and sliced through plenty of traffic as he led the opening 20 circuits. But an incident with a lapped car left him spun between Turns 1 and 2 and ended his hopes of a three-peat at the 3/8-mile. (more…)

David Castera is the current Race Director for the Dakar Rally.
Born in France, he always had a passion for Enduro and Rally Raids, having been crowned National Enduro Champion in France in 1992 and Junior World Champion by Enduro Teams in 1, 993. He competed five times in the Paris-Dakar, securing third place in 1997.
