At the end of the night, youngster William Byron took the checkered flag at Homestead besting a hard charging Tyler Reddick.
Byron joins McDowell and Bell as early winners this season who are payoff bound ahead of the expected veteran racers. Many analysts thought this would be the race for Joe Gibbs Racing with either Bell repeating or seeing one of his strong veteran teammates in victory lane. (more…)
In his 17th season, Denny Hamlin is once again standing atop the NASCAR Cup Series championship standings, and his totally confident in his place in the sport.
Sure, he doesn’t have a Cup Series championship, but he has 44 victories and three of them have come in the Daytona 500. He’s arguably surpassed Mark Martin as the most decorated stock car driver of all-time without the big prize. (more…)
The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season has started in historic fashion becoming just the third season in series history to with two first-time winners to win the first two races of the year; joining the series’ inaugural season 1949 and 1950. Now the 2021 season, has the opportunity to join the inaugural 1949 season as just the second season in series history to start the year with three consecutive first-time winners to win the first three races of the year.
