The Next Gen car is a collaboration of the brightest engineering minds in racing, with contributions coming from all sides of the NASCAR and automotive industries. The design of the Next Gen car gives the drivers greater control while putting an emphasis back on race strategies, team personnel and vehicle setups. After another off week for the NASCAR Xfinity Series last weekend, the series is back in action this weekend for the Steakhouse Elite 200 at Darlington Raceway (1 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) on Saturday, May 8.

As the field raced on the final lap of stage one of Sunday’s (April 25) GEICO 500 at Talladega, Joey Logano of Middletown, CT was in the middle of the pack and in contention for some stage points entering the backstretch.
By turn 3, Logano was sliding on his roof, launched airborne and wrecked out of the race. (more…)
Both Kaz Grala of Boston, MA and Kaulig Racing continue to impress in each of their NASCAR Cup Series outings.
Grala piloted Kaulig’s No. 16 Chevy to a sixth-place finish in the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway on April 25, the best Cup finish to date for the young driver and team. The result completed a stellar weekend for the team, as Kaulig went to victory lane in the NASCAR Xfinity Series the day before via Jeb Burton‘s first career win. (more…)

The NASCAR Xfinity Series was off last weekend as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and NASCAR Cup Series took on Richmond Raceway. Prior to that, the NASCAR Xfinity Series was in Martinsville, Virginia for the Cook Out 250. The race was postponed after weather took over during the originally scheduled start on Friday. The race was rescheduled for Sunday, April 11 and the series crowned another first-time winner in JR Motorsport’s driver Josh Berry. (more…)

The paint schemes for the NASCAR Darlington Throwback weekend have rolled out. Last week, reigning Cup champ Chase Elliott unveiled a paint scheme honoring Alan Kulwicki. Now, Joey Logano has unveiled another iconic paint scheme for the May race.
The Team Penske star will honor a motorsports legend in Mario Andretti with a throwback paint scheme at Darlington. Andretti is one of the very few drivers in history to win races in NASCAR, IndyCar, as well as Formula One. (more…)
