BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – The Grandview Speedway racing fraternity begins this week of racing in mourning after the passing of long-time race announcer, public relations expert, and one of a kind personality Ernie Saxton.
Saxton, who had retired from active announcing at Grandview following the 2013 race season, and serving as the track’s public relations and marketing mainstay for over 50 years from 1967 until his complete retirement in 2021, passed away on Sunday after a brief stay in the hospital last week.

AO Racing Claims Overall Win, Achieves Double Podium in Canada
BOWMANVILLE, Ontario. (July 14, 2025) – AO Racing soared to new heights at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, earning its first overall IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship victory on Sunday. The team’s dragon-liveried No. 99 Oreca, affectionately known as “Spike,” dominated much of the LMP2 race with drivers PJ Hyett and Dane Cameron, securing a hard-fought and historic win. Chris Matthews was the big winner of the night, capturing the 40-lap Monaco Ford SK Light Double Down feature for his second win of the 2025 season. Mikey Flynn won the SK Modified® feature for his first win of 2025, Andrew Durand was a first-time 2025 winner in the Late Model feature, Kevin Cormier was another first time 2025 winner in the Limited Late Model feature, and Aaron Plemons was a winner for the third time this season in the Street Stock feature.
