MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Jan. 15, 2025) – Cody Ware is a fulltime NASCAR Cup Series driver. The 29-year-old from Greensboro, North Carolina, will contest the entire 2025 Cup Series schedule behind the wheel of the No. 51 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Rick Ware Racing (RWR). Billy Plourde will be his crew chief.

One of The Autopian’s fearless leaders, Matt Hardigree, had a Lucid Air back in the summer of 2023. He came to Chicago with it for the inaugural NASCAR Street race and asked me to meet him for an Autopian meet-up. He brought me to some famous hot dog place where there were no seats and I couldn’t eat any of the food, but the company was nice. Eventually, I had to head back to get dinner as the next day I would be racing on the track. He offered to drive me back to my hotel because the biblical rain that would plague that whole weekend had arrived. (more…)

In an Instagram posting by D2 Motorsports Racing (@d2motorsportsracing), Former NASCAR Cup Series competitor Jeremy Mayfield has just been announced as the team driver for the 2025 season in the Grand National Super Series (@grandnationalsuperseries) (GNSS).
The Grand National Super Series describes themselves as “America’s newest full/steel bodied stock car series!”. More information can be found on their Instagram page and their website.
GNSS races in the North Carolina and Virginia areas, based on their 2024 schedule. Tracks include Carteret County Speedway in NC and Lonesome Pines Raceway in VA.

SC School Creates Drive For Career In Motorsports. It’s The Only One Of Its Kind In US
Destiny Nash stands in a swirl of white smoke as a pile of dust gathers at her feet. The 18-year-old is sanding a car bumper, part of her auto-collision class at Palmetto Academy of Learning Motorsports. The class is part of a unique curriculum being offered at the Horry County charter school, making it the only motorsports high school in the country. While there are other high schools in the U.S. that offer a racing program, the Conway school, located at 826 W. Cox Ferry Road, Conway, SC, is the only one that provides a hybrid learning curriculum.
