WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Demetrios Drellos picked up right where he left off last year: On top at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. The reigning Sportsman Modified champion opened the new season on Saturday, May 1, with a dominant win during a wildly unpredictable night presented by Mike’s Fuels of Bridport. A total of 118 racecars jammed the pit area and outer parking lot as a nice spectator crowd filtered in for the 2021 lid-lifter, and Drellos collected a whopping $3,200 for his victory in the race honoring the late Matt Bilodeau. Barre, VT — A huge field of cars filed through the pits for the Thunder Road Car Show and Practice Day on Saturday, May 1. When all was said and done, 119 drivers across 4 divisions took to the track in preparation for the Community Bank N.A. 150 on FloRacing this Sunday, May 2. Defending NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Justin Bonsignore of Holtsville will return to where it all began for him when the tour makes its first of three visits to Riverhead Raceway Saturday May 15th and with him bring a four race WMT win streak into the Miller Lite 200. The third week of May date is the earliest the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour has ever visited the eastern Long Island facility since it’s inception in 1985.
