No surprise here with Kyle Busch able to pull off another NASCAR Cup win this time at Kansas international Speedway on Sunday. After the carnage and the smoke cleared it was Joey Logano of Middletown, CT salvaging a 17th place after being in the hunt all afternoon. Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT got a 23rd place. Corey LaJoie was 27th at the checkered flag. Corey is son of two-time Xfinity Champion who served his apprenticeship at the defunct Danbury CT Speedway not far from his home town in Norwalk, CT. Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT had a blowout afternoon finishing 32nd.
Preece spent a lot of time in the air commuting between Kansas Speedway in KS and Monadnock Speedway in NH
On Saturday night Preece was back in one of his old haunts which is Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, NH where he drove a Tour Type Modified for the Moniz clan who own the sponsored Falmouth(MA) Ready Mix entry out of Cape Cod. Preece ended the event in 9th within a field of 32 that qualified via heat races. Some 36 Mods showed up for that Tri-Track Open Modified Series the first of six such events in New England this 2021 season.
