Saturday July 2nd will be a time to celebrate at Riverhead Raceway as the track marks it’s 72nd anniversary with a full blown celebration is planned by track owners Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz. A spectacular Fireworks show will be presented and the night will conclude with a bone jarring Demolition Derby. BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Craig Von Dohren of Oley, Pa. arrived in second position with just six laps remaining in Saturday night’s 30-lap T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modified feature event, however lapped traffic allowed him to catch and pass Jeff Strunk of Boyertown, Pa. with just a lap and a half remaining, to give Von Dohren his fourth point race win of the season at Grandview Speedway. Alexandra Fearn won the Limited Late Model feature before rain prematurely brought the rest of the evening to a halt. The SK Modified® feature saw Todd Owen declared the winner after post-race inspection determined that original feature winner Stephen Kopcik and third place finisher Jon Puleo did not meet rule 20E – 12.3 Coil Over Shocks and both cars were disqualified from the feature finish.
