NextEra Energy 250 – Chandler Smith – No. 18 Safelite AutoGlass Tundra Preview

Chandler Smith will begin his first full-time season in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series behind the wheel of Kyle Busch Motorsports’ (KBM) No. 18 Safelite AutoGlass Tundra in Friday night’s season-opening event at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. The 18-year-old Georgia native will compete for the Sunoco Rookie of the Year Award in 2021 after competing in a part-time schedule for KBM each of the last two seasons.

Track Talk – Entry Form for ACT/PASS Thompson 300 Released

Waterbury, VT — The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) have released the official entry form for the Thompson 300 at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park on October 9-10. More than $100,000 in projected awards are posted for the return of the historic event as part of the 59th World Series of Speedway Racing. As previously announced, the 300-lap event will pay the winner a guaranteed minimum of $20,000. Second place receives $7,500 with $5,000 for third. Everyone who takes the green flag will bring home at least $1,200.…

Saturday, April 10, 2010 – On this day in history, Ryan Newman led just four laps and beat NASCAR Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon to the finish by a mere 0.130 second in the NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix Raceway. Newman took the lead on the final NASCAR Overtime restart and led the final two laps to win his 14th of his 18 NASCAR Cup Series career wins.
