Perfection. That’s the only word to describe Watertown, CT’s David Gravel and Big Game Motorsports on Saturday at Mississippi’s Magnolia Motor Speedway.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — You’d never know it by the current weather conditions, but the dirt track racing season is fast approaching. David Gravel of Watertown, CT added to his list of accomplishments in November, winning his first World of Outlaws championship.
Is he a deserving World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion?
For many, it seemed a foregone conclusion that David Gravel Racing would earn his maiden WoO championship in 2024. This was, after all, the season when five-time champion Brad Sweet left the series to join High Limit Racing.
Gravel, from Watertown, CT had been the championship runner-up in each of the previous three seasons.
Barre, VT — Following the annual pomp and circumstance of the annual season ending classic, the brave drivers of the American-Canadian Tour took on the first of three Segments in the 62nd Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank. Polesitter Gabe Brown jumped ahead to lead the pack early while collecting the first lap money of the event along with Marcel Gravel in second and Jimmy Hebert in third. Driving hard on the outside lane, Gravel launched to lead lap nine with Hebert and previous Milk Bowl winners Jason Corliss and Chris Pelkey in tow. A trio of mid-race, quick cycle cautions slowed the segment for heart-pounding restarts before Marcel Gravel claimed the opening segment win with Jason Corliss, Brown, Hebert and Pelkey rounding out the top five.
