(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted Spear Bro’s Kids night on Friday, September 20th. Feature winners on the night included Todd Owen in the SK Modified® feature, Adam Gray in the Late Model feature, Tyler Chapman in the SK Light feature, RJ Surdell in the Limited Late Model feature, and Tyler Trott in the Street Stock feature. As part of Spear Bro’s Kids Night, there were two kids big wheel races and they were won by 7 year old Jordan Dion of Canton and 5 year old Jack Webber of Longmeadow, MA. (more…)

Brandon Gray Claims Record-Breaking Seventh Flying Tiger Victory, Clinches Championship on McGee Hyundai of Barre Super Friday!

Barre, VT — The Maplefield/Irving Late Models started off McGee Hyundai of Barre Super Friday with their 50-lap trophy dash to kick start Super Friday’s five division showcase. Outside polesitter Taylor Hoar got off to a sour start, careening into the infield on lap one to bring out the early caution. Chip Grenier put the pedal down to lead the restart on the outside groove over Stephen Martin and set the pace out front. The caution flew once more on lap 16 as Christopher Bedard stacked up the middle of the pack in turn four, sending Jason Corliss hard into the Widowmaker frontstretch wall and ending his night early. Taylor Gray – No. 19 Operation 300 Toyota GR Supra Preview – Focused Health 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway

GRAY AT ATLANTA: Taylor Gray started 19th and finished fourth in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway earlier this year. That race was his only experience at the 1.54-mile track so far.

GRAY XFINITY SEASON: Gray has claimed a pair of top-five finishes and three top-10s in nine NASCAR Xfinity Series starts this season. He made an incredible first impression with a third-place finish in his debut at Richmond Raceway in March. More recently, Gray posted top-five qualifying efforts in his last two starts at Pocono Raceway and Michigan International Speedway on the way to back-to-back top-10 finishes. (more…)

Hovey & Matthews Score Aug. 30 SK Light Feature Wins; Christopher, Gray, Winter, & Hydar Also Notch Maybury Kids Night Wins at Stafford

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted Maybury Back to SKool Kids night with twin SK Light feature events on Friday, Aug. 30th. The big winners of the night were Nickolas Hovey and Chris Matthews, who split the SK Light features between themselves with Hovey notching his third win of the season and Matthews his second. Other feature winners were Michael Christopher, Jr. in the SK Modified® feature, Adam Gray in the Late Model feature, Matt Winter, II, and Travis Hydar. As part of Maybury Kids Night, there were two kids big wheel races and they were won by 6 year old Bentley Walmsley of Franklin and 5 year old Cole Frazier of Agawam, MA.

In the 40-lap SK Modified® feature, Dylan Kopec took the early lead while behind him Andrew Molleur moved into second, Marcello Rufrano third, Tyler Hines fourth, and Jon Puleo fifth. Steven Chapman got out of shape but gathered his car up and rejoined at the rear of the field as the race stayed green. (more…)

Barre, VT — Terry Pearce and Paige Whittemore brought the rk Miles Street Stocks out of the pit area to lead Cody Chevrolet-Cadillac Night at Thunder Road with their 25-lap main event. The first caution on lap 4 spelled trouble for title hopeful Trevor Jaques while Pearce maintained the lead on the restart over Whittemore and Jamie Davis as title hopefuls Ryan Foster, Dean Switser and Josh Lovely began to breathe down their backs! Through it all, Terry Pearce would earn his second win of the season in style, dominating the Cody Chevrolet-Cadillac trophy dash with Paige Whittemore and Jamie Davis joining him in victory lane. NASCAR Brings The Clash to Historic Bowman Gray Stadium on Feb. 2, 2025

WINSTON SALEM, N.C. (Aug. 17, 2024) – Today, NASCAR announced The Clash will come to historic Bowman Gray Stadium for the first-time as the opening exhibition event for the 2025 season on Feb. 2. The announcement was made by Ben Kennedy as part of pre-race for tonight’s NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series event at the racetrack. This will mark the first NASCAR Cup Series event at the racetrack in 54 years. The Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium will be broadcast live on FOX.

Taylor Gray has run eight NXS with Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) this season, with a best finish of third in his series debut at Richmond. Gray’s last race with JGR was at Pocono where he earned his second top-five finish of the season. The 19-year-old secured his spot in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) Playoffs last weekend in the regular season finale and will have a chance to compete for the series championship. (more…)
