Dempsey-Wright Motorsports, Dempsey, and Long Welcome Tanner Foust to Austin Six-Hour Effort
BATAVIA, Ohio. (October 22, 2024) – In anticipation of the conclusion of the Porsche Endurance Challenge North America championship at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) next month, Dempsey-Wright Motorsports has announced the addition of Tanner Foust to the driver lineup of the No. 98 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, joining Patrick Dempsey and Patrick Long to the season finale event.
“It’s an incredible honor to be invited as the third driver for this powerhouse motorsports duo,” said Foust. “Pat Long and Patrick Dempsey are two of my personal heroes; they are both extremely inspirational on and off the track. To top it off, we’re hitting the iconic COTA circuit in a Wright Motorsports-prepped Porsche GT4—it doesn’t get much better than that! Magnus Racing Bids a Petite Farewell to 2024 at Petit Le Mans
It seems like it was just a few weeks ago that we were kicking off the 2024 race season at the Rolex 24 At Daytona, but here we are, coming into Petit Le Mans, ready to wrap up the year with the 10-hour endurance racing extravaganza. With two of our three drivers in the No. 44 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and our shop being Atlanta-based, Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta is a home track for us. We’re going to be putting in a not-so-petite effort in this weekend to finish the season on a high note for John Potter, Andy Lally, Spencer Pumpelly, and our entire team. (more…)
Mercedes-AMG Competitors Combine for Two Race Wins and Four More Podiums While Mercedes-AMG Secures Third-Consecutive GT America Manufacturer Championship
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Mercedes-AMG clinched a third-straight GT America powered by AWS Manufacturer Championship to highlight a successful season-ending weekend of SRO America competition at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) that included GT4 and GT2 race wins and a three-day haul of six total podium finishes. The half dozen visits to IMS victory lane included a pair of podium showings by Mercedes-AMG Performance Teams GruppeM Racing and Lone Star Racing. Maro Engel, Jules Gounon and Mikael Grenier drove the No. 130 Mercedes-AMG Team GruppeM Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 to a second-place Pro-class finish while the No. 4 Mercedes-AMG Team Lone Star Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Luca Stolz, Fabian Schiller and Alex Palou rallied to third-place Pro honors in Saturday’s Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC) Indianapolis 8 Hour. Flying Lizard Motorsports Awarded Crew of the Year, Rookie of the Year at SRO America Finale
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., (October 8, 2024) – Sunday evening in Indianapolis at the SRO America end-of-the-year awards banquet, Flying Lizard Motorsports concluded their three-series championship efforts with the prestigious award of GT3 Crew of the Year, also with driver Damir Hot receiving the Rookie of the Year award.
“Running multiple cars in multiple classes made for an extremely busy 2024 season,” said Program Manager Darren Law. “Although we did not come away with a championship this year, we had multiple podiums and have great momentum as we go into the offseason. Flying Lizard Prepared to Close out Multi-Series SRO America Season at Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., (September 30, 2024) – Two weeks after racing at the Brickyard with their Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America program, Flying Lizard Motorsport is back at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend to close out the year with their multiple SRO America championship efforts. Though not in the championship hunt, the team has four entries competing to finish the season with wins in GT World Challenge America, GT4 America, and GT America.
“2024 has been a great season for many reasons,” said Program Manager Darren Law. “Although we aren’t in a fight for the championship this year, we have had multiple podiums throughout the season in each of the different classes we are entered in and we see so much potential for 2025. Wright Motorsports Welcomes Laurin Heinrich for Championship Showdown at Indianapolis 8 Hour

This weekend, drivers Adam Adelson and Elliott Skeer prepare to conclude the fight for the Fanatec GT World Challenge championship title, with Laurin Heinrich joining them in the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R for the Indianapolis 8 Hour. Nick Yelloly Joins Flying Lizard Motorsport for Indianapolis 8 Hour
PHOENIZ, Ariz., (September 28, 2024) – The season finale for the Fanatec GT World Challenge America concludes next week at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with an eight-hour endurance racing event, and BMW works driver Nick Yelloly will join full-season drivers Elias Sabo and Andy Lee in the No. 8 Flying Lizard Motorsports BMW M4 GT3.
“We are very pleased to have Nick joining us for the Indianapolis 8 Hour event,” said Program Manager Darren Law. “BMW has been very supportive of us with this mid-season move to the M4 GT3 and to have a driver of Nick’s caliber and his knowledge of the car will be extremely helpful for us. Lizards Return to Alabama for Barber Double Header
BIRMINGHAM, AL., (September 4, 2024) – Momentum is on the side of Flying Lizard Motorsports as the multi-effort racing team heads to Barber Motorsports Park after an eight-year SRO America absence from the scenic circuit. The Phoenix, Arizona-based team has enjoyed back-to-back podium weekends across their GT America, GT4 America, and GT World Challenge America and journeys to Birmingham, Alabama for another weekend filled with sports car racing.
Flying Lizard has had successes at the circuit before, including a 2015 victory with 24 Hours of Le Mans Winner and FIA World Endurance Championship champion Kevin Estre.
We are getting close to the end of the 2024 season and are looking forward to a return to the Barber Motorsports track. This is a tricky circuit because there are not many straightaways, most corners are tight and put a lot of load on the front of the car.
