22-Year-Old Racer Will Run Full CARS Tour Schedule in Pro Late Model Division

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Feb. 26, 2026) – Third-generation racer James Seeright will make his zMAX CARS Tour debut in the season-opening KevinSaysYes.com 100 on Saturday at Southern National Speedway in Lacuna, North Carolina.

The 22-year-old from Winter Haven, Florida, will drive the No. 5 Cathy Boyd’s Tax Service/Cappello Legal Ford Mustang for Hettinger Racing in the Pro Late Model division for the entirety of the 2026 season.

While expanding his operation to compete fulltime in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, team owner Chris Hettinger will again field an entry in the Late Model Stock division of the zMAX CARS Tour.

Luke Fenhaus To Make NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Debut With First-Year Hettinger Racing Team

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Jan. 27, 2026) – Midwestern short-track star Luke Fenhaus will make his NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series debut in the Feb. 14 United Rentals 300 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.

The 21-year-old racer from Wausau, Wisconsin, will drive the No. 5 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Hettinger Racing, a team that is also making its O’Reilly Series debut at Daytona.

Hettinger Racing To Compete Fulltime in NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Dec. 23, 2025) – Hettinger Racing will compete fulltime in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series in 2026.

Owned by second-generation racer Chris Hettinger, the team will field the No. 5 Ford Mustang Dark Horse and receive technical support from Ford Racing. Roush Yates Engines will be the team’s engine supplier.

Three-Race Miniseries Begins This Weekend at South Boston Speedway

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (June 25, 2025) – The Virginia Late Model Triple Crown features three of the East Coast’s biggest Late Model Stock races, and 20-year-old Jonathan Shafer has cast his lot with Hettinger Racing for the popular grassroots miniseries that begins this weekend at South Boston Speedway.

Shafer will drive the No. 5 Chevrolet in Saturday night’s Thunder Road Harley-Davidson 200 at the .4-mile oval before tackling the July 19 Hampton Heat at Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway in Hampton and the Sept. 27 ValleyStar Credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway.
