Chemung Speedrome Hobby Stocks Added To Race Of Champions Weekend At Lake Erie Speedway

North East, Pa. – (September 5, 2025) – The Chemung Speedrome Hobby Stocks will be part of the action during Race of Champions Weekend, September 12–14, 2025, at Lake Erie Speedway in North East, Pa., adding even more excitement to one of the biggest weekends in short track racing.

The Chemung (N.Y.) Speedrome Hobby Stocks have quickly established themselves as a competitive and entertaining division, providing an entry-level opportunity for racers in the Southern Tier region. After requests from competitors and discussions with Chemung Speedrome promoter Ray Hodge, the decision was made to include the division in the prestigious Lake Erie event.

Michael McDowell & Horizon Hobby Head Back to the Kansas Heartland

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (September 25, 2024) – Michael McDowell and the No. 34 team are back in the Heartland this weekend to take on the Kansas Speedway.

McDowell returns to Kansas after an 11th-place run at the Bristol Night Race and is looking to improve on his Top-10 finish from the Kansas spring race earlier this year. His 10th-place result was his best career-finish at the 1.5-mile Speedway.

Horizon Hobby is back on the No. 34 this weekend, highlighting over 50 local hobby stores across the country, on the hood of the Ford Mustang Dark Horse. The body is a fully licensed replica of the No. 34 Support your Local Hobby Shop Ford Mustang that Michael McDowell raced at the Daytona International Speedway. Only 1,200 pieces have been produced.
