SEBRING, Florida (March 21, 2025) – “Deflated” but not down, the No. 80 Lone Star Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 team and co-drivers Dan Knox, Scott Andrews and Eric Filgueiras left the 12 Hours of Sebring last Saturday motivated for the final three rounds of the 2025 IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup (IMEC) at Watkins Glen, Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) and Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta (MRRA). The team and drivers turned in one of their best races since entering the IMEC GT Daytona (GTD) championship last year and missed out on a likely top-five or better finish only because the No. 80 Mercedes-AMG GT3 suffered a cut tire with just 44 minutes remaining in the 73rd running of America’s oldest major sports car race. Motorsports is one of the toughest sports to break into. It’s expensive, demanding, and requires unwavering dedication. From the cost of racing cars, tires, and fuel to training, track access, and travel, the financial barrier is huge. On top of that, sponsorships are hard to secure, and for women, the road has been even tougher—fewer opportunities, less funding, and not enough role models have made it harder to reach the highest levels.

BATAVIA, Ohio. (March 18, 2025) – Wright Motorsports delivered another display of perseverance and tenacity in last weekend’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, overcoming multiple challenges to secure a top-five finish in the notoriously grueling endurance race. As the second round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the twelve-hour battle tested both man and machine, but the Ohio-based team rose to the occasion, earning valuable championship points in both the full-season GTD class and the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup. SEBRING, Florida (March 18, 2025) – GMG Racing and team drivers team drivers Patrick Mulcahy and James Sofronas each recorded a Pro-Am class fourth-place finish last week in the season-opening IMSA Carrera Cup North America doubleheader at Sebring International Raceway.
Debuting series rookie Mulcahy finished fourth in his series-debut race last Thursday in his No. 54 GMG Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup while GMG Racing owner and driver James Sofronas took fourth-place honors in Friday’s second and final race. Both first-year driver Mulcahy and two-time Porsche racing champion Sofronas contest the full Carrera Cup Pro-Am season in 2025. (more…)
PHOENIX, Ariz., (March 18, 2025) – Flying Lizard Motorsports launched its 2025 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America campaign at Sebring International Raceway last weekend, overcoming highs and lows in the opening rounds of the season.
