Traverse City, Mich. – November 20, 2024 – The Amelia, a leading global concours weekend known for its racing roots and luxurious setting at the beautiful Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, today announced Hélio Castroneves as honoree for 2025, continuing the event’s longstanding tradition as “the racer’s concours.”
The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, one of the premier and most-beloved street races in North America, has been acquired by Penske Entertainment, officials announced on Thursday, Nov. 14 — with representatives from both organizations describing the purchase as a way to further invest in the motorsports event.
After making her way through the ranks of dirt racing and stock car racing, Hailie Deegan will shift her focus to open-wheel racing in 2025, competing in INDY NXT by Firestone with HMD Motorsports.
Deegan will drive the No. 38 entry for the full 14-race calendar of INDY NXT, the INDYCAR development series. Deegan, 23, becomes the fifth confirmed driver for HMD Motorsports, joining teammates Caio Collet, Josh Pierson, Tommy Smith and Bryce Aron and will join her teammates at the Chris Griffis Memorial Test on Friday, Oct. 18 on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (September 24, 2024) – Sunday afternoon’s Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway was a day sports car racing fans and the team at AO Racing will not soon forget. Determined as ever to keep their championship points lead, the team drove an incredible race from last position on the grid to first place, expanding the championship points gap for Rexy, the Porsche 911 GT3 Rawr. Spike the Dragon also had an impressive podium run going until contact from another car took the LMP2 car out from the top three in the final hour. (more…)
LEBANON, Tenn. — Among all the drivers in the NTT IndyCar Series field, perhaps nobody’s name is more associated with controversy as Santino Ferrucci.
The Woodbury, Conn., native has developed a reputation and reinforced it this season as a major threat on ovals. Ferrucci demanded attention more than a handful of times when the series came to World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway and the Milwaukee Mile by pulling off a series of high-risk moves at both venues and walking away with two fourth-place finishes (both in the Milwaukee doubleheader) from those three races, with a 12th-place finish at Gateway being the outlier.

Santino Ferrucci will drive the No. 14 for AJ Foyt Racing in 2025, the team announced Sept. 12.
The extension is for multiple years, locking Ferrucci into the No. 14 for at least the next two NTT IndyCar Series seasons. He will be teammates with David Malukas, who also signed a multi-year agreement to join the team in 2025 back in August. (more…)
The most popular driver and entry from May’s Indianapolis 500 will return in 2025 and take another shot at winning ‘The Greatest Spectacle In Racing’ with an entry for Kyle Larson from Arrow McLaren/Hendrick Motorsports as part of their second attempt to do ‘The Double.’
The NASCAR Cup champion starred all month in his rookie appearance at the 500 in the No. 17 Chevy and was only limited by errors due to his inexperience in an IndyCar, and a downpour that delayed the race and derailed his plans to contest the 600-mile NASCAR race immediately after the 500 in Charlotte.
