Infield Pitting Announced For 7th Annual Islip 300 November 11th At Riverhead Raceway
With the 2023 regular season finally in the record books at Riverhead Raceway, the track management team has turned their full attention to the Islip 300 Tour Type Modified event Saturday November 11th. General manager John Ellwood announced the 7th annual Islip 300 would feature infield pitting for teams vying for the $7.000 victory, allowing fans to look on as talented race teams ply their craft.

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. May 9, 2021. Ma Nature smiled on Grandview Speedway Saturday night and allowed a Mom’s Night NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series tripleheader to be completed with Duane Howard battling with Jesse Leiby in the T.P. Trailers 358 NASCAR 30-lap Modified feature beginning on the 15th lap. The veteran campaigner tried to dive underneath the rookie and later attempted the outside trek, but each attempt failed. Finally on the 22nd lap, the six-time point champion got past Leiby and went on to take the win. (more…)

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted its first scheduled Friday night race of the 2021 season with a Stafford Weekly Series program on Friday, May 7th.  Michael Christopher outdueled Keith Rocco to win the SK Modified® feature, while both Michael Bennett and Derek Debbis both made it two-for-two in 2021 by winning the Late Model and SK Light feature events respectively.  Rich Hammann scored his first career Stafford feature victory in the Limited Late Model feature, and Travis Hydar won the Street Stock feature. ELLENTON, Fla., (May 4, 2021) – The 2021 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship was supposed to be a step back to normalcy after 2020’s incredible Responsible Return to Racing protocol that saw the racers and teams concluding the season – all seven remaining rounds – at a single venue. With new protocols, the 2021 season promised more venues, more traditional track variances, and a limited number of fans in attendance. The season delivered all that, but the racing wasn’t back to normal. It was extraordinary.

WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Demetrios Drellos picked up right where he left off last year: On top at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. The reigning Sportsman Modified champion opened the new season on Saturday, May 1, with a dominant win during a wildly unpredictable night presented by Mike’s Fuels of Bridport. A total of 118 racecars jammed the pit area and outer parking lot as a nice spectator crowd filtered in for the 2021 lid-lifter, and Drellos collected a whopping $3,200 for his victory in the race honoring the late Matt Bilodeau. (April 29, 2021) – As Nashville Superspeedway completes its rebirth as Middle Tennessee’s racing and entertainment jewel, The Cat Rental Store at Thompson Machinery has been named the track’s preferred equipment rental partner leading up to its June 18-20 NASCAR tripleheader weekend. Indy 500 Attendance Capped at 40 Percent Capacity

The Indianapolis 500 will not take place behind closed doors this year, nor will it take place far removed from its traditional Memorial Day Weekend slot.

The state of Indiana and Marion County will permit the Greatest Spectacle in Racing up to 40 percent capacity next month, meaning a maximum of 135,000 fans will be allowed to attend the May 30 race, as confirmed by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Wednesday. (more…)

Thompson Speedway’s Icebreaker Sunday Schedule Moved to Saturday Night Due to Forecast

Waterbury, VT & Naples, ME — The Sunday program of the annual Icebreaker at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 10 at approximately 5:30pm. American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials made the decision due to an inclement weather forecast for Sunday, April 11. The Saturday night forecast is far more favorable with clear skies highs in the low-60s.  (more…)
