This past weekend, the 350 SMAC Tour made its return to Maine’s fastest track for the highly anticipated Bentley Warren Classic. The 350 SMAC Tour brings the thrill of Super Modifieds to tracks across New England and Wiscasset Speedway was the home of excitement on Saturday night with an action-packed program that included both the touring series and all weekly Group 1 divisions.
With his stock car racing career on hold, Fort Kent’s Austin Theriault has been busy serving as a driving consultant, and one of his proteges has Maine ties.
Even though he has been racing for just one year, 13-year-old Carson Brown has already racked up a bunch of wins in his Legends car, including the Young Lions division national championship dirt track race at the Brushcreek Motorsports Complex in Peebles, Ohio. (more…)

Jason Gray didn’t need to show up to clinch the title in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, but being the racer he is, he said h*** yeh I’m showing up and finishing the year on a bang, which is exactly what he did.
Beech Ridge Motor Speedway is being sold to real estate developers, a decision that has stunned fans and track employees.
Beech Ridge owner Andy Cusack announced during a post-race awards ceremony on Saturday night that the property is being be sold and that racing at the 72-year-old track soon will come to an end. (more…)

HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. — Justin Bonsignore will continue his quest for a third NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship this Saturday, August 21, at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. As the Whelen Modified Tour heads back to the Maine oval for the first time since 2005, Bonsignore leads the championship standings by 12 over Patrick Emerling.
