Mexico City – Trackhouse Racing announced today that Telcel-Infinitum will sponsor the No. 99 Chevrolet driven by Daniel Suárez in the inaugural June 15 NASCAR Cup Series race at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez road course in Mexico City.
The event marks the first points-paying Cup Series race outside the United States since 1958, and for Suárez, it’s a homecoming to his native Mexico.
With vendors selling NASCAR merchandise as far as the eye could see alongside the crowded roads leading into São Paulo, Brazil’s world-famous Interlagos racing circuit this August, Daniel Suárez knew it was going to be a significant day – for him as a competitor, for the tens of thousands of international fans eager for a day of stock car racing, and for NASCAR in general. TOLEDO, Ohio — Before Saturday, in 71 previous seasons of competition for the ARCA Menards Series, every driver who hoisted the champion’s trophy originated from the United States.
On a perfect fall afternoon at Toledo Speedway, Mexico City’s Andres Perez capped a historic year that culminated with his becoming the first foreign-born champion in ARCA Menards Series history. For the first time since 2010-2011, the Richard Childress Racing organization has put up back-to-back seasons (2022-2023) of at least three NASCAR Cup Series wins. Over the last two years, the one common denominator in the RCR Victory Lane celebrations has been crew chief Randall Burnett, who has led Tyler Reddick to three wins in 2022, and now has led veteran Kyle Busch to three wins this season.
JR Motorsports’ driver Justin Allgaier has put up some impressive finishes at Charlotte Motor Speedway over the course of his career and was finally able to take to the checkered flag on Monday, bringing his numbers up to one win, six top fives, 12 top 10s and 160 laps led in his 21 starts at the 1.5-mile track.

The NASCAR Cup Series is on a blast to the past this weekend at Darlington Raceway, as NASCAR legends of today and yesteryear come together to celebrate Throwback Weekend and the series competes in the 13th race of the 2023 season, the Goodyear 400 on Sunday, May 14 at 3 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
GMS Racing’s wheelman, Grant Enfinger, prevailed late Saturday night at Kansas Speedway to earn his first NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series victory of the season and clinch a spot in the Playoffs. This season marks the fifth-time Enfinger has earned a spot in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Playoffs in his career (2023, ‘22 ’20, ’19, ’18).
