Kevin Gambacorta and Paul Varricchio, Jr. Lead Late Model Division Into Aug. 23 Double Header at Stafford Speedway

(Stafford Springs, CT)—With Stafford’s Late Model division set to partake in a double header this Friday, August 23^rd, the race for the championship is coming into focus. Kevin Gambacorta, the driver of the #23 Lavigne Law Chevrolet and Paul Varricchio, Jr., driver of the #39 Tavern on the Trax Chevrolet, kicked off the 2024 season racing one another for the season opening NAPA Spring Sizzler® victory and they are still the two drivers to beat in the race for the championship. Both Gambacorta and Varricchio opened the season with strong results, Gambacorta recording 6 consecutive podium finishes and 2 wins, and Varricchio recording 3 podium finishes, including his first career victory on May 31st, and they have continued to run well all season long as the only 2 drivers to record top-10 finishes in each of the first 11 races.

Thunder Road Announces Squier Cup Late Model Triple Crown to Honor Late Founder

Barre, VT — Starting a picture-perfect day on Quarry Hill last Sunday, Thunder Road Speedbowl managing partner Cris Michaud announced the creation of the Squier Cup in honor of late Thunder Road founder Ken Squier with a new granite monument at the Speedbowl he created back in 1960. Justin Brown Takes Riverhead Raceway Opening Night Modified Victory, Jimmy Rennick Jr. Doubles Up In Late Model And Super Pro Trucks

It may have been NASCAR Pack the Track opening night for the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series of Riverhead Raceway, but the on-track action displayed mid season form, featuring two great finishes and exciting racing action all night. When the dust settled, Justin Brown of Manorville sat in NASCAR Tour Type Modified victory lane at the end of 50-laps, however it was veteran Jimmy Rennick Jr. of Howard Beach stealing the spotlight, as he topped both the Late Model and Super Pro Truck events.

Seekonk Speedway 2024 Late Model Season Preview

With two-time defending champion Vinnie Arrenegado making the full-time move to the Pro Stocks in 2024, the battle for the Late Model title chase will commence with multiple drivers to watch. Arrenegado may show up for select events, but his quest for another championship looks like it will move to the Division I Pro Stocks.

Matt Clement Leading Family Charge Into 2024 Limited Late Model Season at Stafford

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Since notching his first career win back in 2019, Matt Clement has twice come very close to winning a championship in Stafford Speedway’s Limited Late Model division. Both seasons saw Clement finish behind Jeremy Lavoie with the margin 20 points this past season and only 4 points in 2019. Clement is ready to once again be a championship contender in 2024 with his #59 Utility Service New England team.
