After more than 30 years at the helm of the National Auto Sport Association, a racing organization he co-founded in 1991, Executive Director Jerry Kunzman has announced he will retire from NASA National in 2023.
Kunzman will continue to serve as Regional Director of the Northern California NASA Region, but he will be naming current COO Jeremy Croiset as the new CEO of NASA.
Now in its 10th year of providing drivers as young as 13 years old the opportunity to compete in Spec Miata and Spec MX-5, the National Auto Sport Association’s Teen Mazda Challenge is excited to announce the opening of registration for 2023. Registration opens Friday, March 17 for the 2023 season, which concludes its points accumulation mid-October to align with the time frame for consideration for Mazda’s MX-5 Cup Shootout.
With the fastest car heading into the 25 Hours of Thunderhill presented by Hawk Performance, Crowdstrike by Riley team owner Bill Riley was confident in his team and in the equipment, but he knew a lot could change during the course of the race. (more…)

Team Palomar Racing had some pretty lofty goals for a dream season at the beginning of 2022, and the 25 Hours of Thunderhill Presented by Hawk Performance will be the last challenge on the team’s 2022 calendar.
Coming into the 2021 25 Hours of Thunderhill Presented by Hawk Performance, Team Entropy Racing EVSR Electric Racing Team estimated it would have to swap the two 350-pound batteries every nine to 11 laps, but it ended up with an efficient 14 laps per battery change. Thunderhill Raceway set the team up with a charging station near the entrance to the track, allowing the team to shuttle the batteries back and forth using a heavy-duty cart. (more…)
No amateur endurance race requires more preparation than the NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill Presented by Hawk Performance, and these last few weeks before the race begins are the most critical time. The longest close-course race in North America, the 25 Hours of Thunderhill Presented by Hawk Performance, takes months of preparation from the whole team.

Las Vegas, Sept. 16, 2022 — The NASA Championships moves each year to give racers around the country equal opportunities to compete on a national level at some of the finest road-racing venues all across the country.
For 2023, NASA is pleased to announce it will be hosting its Championships event Sept. 7-10 at Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Wampum, Pa.
If you want to get a spot on the podium at the 2022 NASA Championships, you have to be prepared and very quick, and that’s where a few of the names on the entry list begin to stand out as some of the favorites at this year’s NASA Championships.
What’s also unique about the event is that even though it’s being held in California, neither the Southern nor Northern California regions of NASA race there with any regularity. (more…)
