JENNERSTOWN, Pa. – For the second straight year, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour teams will carry the names of fallen heroes on the roof of their rides this weekend at Jennerstown Speedway. As part of the Jennerstown Salutes event, in collaboration with Operation Vet NOW Inc. (OVN), NASCAR and JDV Productions, all teams in the Modified field will be racing to honor a veteran.

Three second generation racing personalities bearing iconic names will collaborate for a two car effort at the Islip 300 Tour Type Modified event Saturday November 13th at Riverhead Raceway. In the waning days of October Tommy Baldwin Jr. announced he’ll field two cars for the $7,000 to win race, naming Jimmy Blewett of Howell, NJ and Michael Christopher Jr. of Wolcott, Ct. as his drivers. The racing lineage among the three families runs deep in the Northeast.

The third annual “Battle at the Bowl” Dirt Modified event was postponed a week by rain to Sunday, August 15 at 5:00 p.m., but a little wet weather certainly did not dampen the spirit of the event. If anything, the delay has only ramped up the anticipation.
