Joey Logano Reflects on Last Year as NASCAR Approaches Anniversary of COVID Pause
This weekend should be one full of happy memories for Joey Logano of Middletown, CT. The NASCAR Cup Series is heading to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the Pennzoil 400, which Logano won last season. It’s the same weekend the FanShield 500 ran at Phoenix Raceway in 2020, another race where the driver of the #22 took the checkers.

Hudson, NH’s Derek Griffith Taking on Rattler For the First Time
Before racing season begins in the Northeast, Derek Griffith of Hudson, NH will head back south to chase after a rattlesnake.
Fresh off a second consecutive World Series of Asphalt Super Late Model championship, the New Hampshire driver will make his Rattler 250 debut next weekend, March 12-14. After a strong Florida Speedweeks, the team felt it was as good of a time as ever to make the trip to South Alabama Speedway and try their hand at the early-season crown jewel. (more…)
Surprise Peformances Shake Up Early NASCAR Cup Standings
It’s just two races but it’s never too early to start counting championship points towards the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.
The season has opened with back-to-back first-time winners in Michael McDowell and Christopher Bell, meaning there are just 14 positions remaining in the Field of 16, with two teams that didn’t qualify last year already punching their ticket. (more…)

For the second straight week we saw a first time winner at Daytona.
Christopher Bell joined the ranks of being a first time Cup winner with his hard fought win at the Daytona Road Course. Bell stayed in the hunt and chased down Joey Logano to secure his first Cup win after Michael McDowell got his first Cup win last week. (more…)

If any NASCAR watchers are skeptical about how much crashes can hurt, they should speak with Joey Logano.NASCAR has made numerous safety improvements over the years to prevent tragic deaths or severe injuries. Crashes still happen on a regular basis, and there are some ugly collisions, but it’s been over 20 years since the sport’s last fatality.
