Justin Bonsignore Looks For Another Oswego Triumph

With the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season down to the final six events, Justin Bonsignore and the Kenneth Massa Motorsports team will head to Oswego Speedway this Saturday night. Race 11 of the season brings the team to New York, as the Whelen Modified Tour will run 150 laps as part of the Bud Classic weekend. The event will take place on Saturday, August 31 at 8 p.m.

Bonsignore leads the Whelen Modified Tour point standings by four markers over Ron Silk and is coming off two straight podium finishes. Bonsignore has finished inside the top-five in all but two races this season in the No. 51 Phoenix Communications Inc. Modified.

NASCAR Announces 2025 Schedule

CONCORD, N.C. (Aug. 29, 2024) – NASCAR announced Thursday the schedule for the 2025 season, highlighted by a shakeup in the 10-race NASCAR Playoffs, and a pair of new venues to total the 38-race schedule.

Bowman Gray Stadium (Winston Salem, N.C.) and the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez circuit (Mexico City, Mexico) highlight the slate as the famed North Carolina short track will host the annual season-opening Clash race. Mexico City will host a regular season race in mid-June, the first International Cup points race in 67 years.

Darlington Raceway in Darlington, S.C., hosts the NASCAR Cup Series’ Cook Out Southern 500, the final race of the regular season, this Sunday at 6 p.m. ET on NBC. A 30-minute Countdown to Green Sunday at 5:30 p.m. ET on USA Network leads into live race coverage.

His ninth-place finish was his  first of two top-10s this season, his third top-10 at Darlington, and it marked RWR’s best finish at a non-superspeedway-type track.

Kaz Grala returns to the No. 15 Meat N’ Bone Ford Mustang Dark Horse for his second Cup Series start at Darlington after earning an 18th-place finish in his Darlington debut in May.

The driver of the No. 41 HaasTooling.com Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Stewart-Haas Racing has a best finish of 12th at Darlington, earned in the 2021 Southern 500. In his most recent Darlington start in May for the Goodyear 400, Preece finished 17th.

Preece has one Darlington start apiece in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. In his September 2016 Xfinity Series start, he qualified 22nd and finished 10th in a JD Motorsports entry. SPREADING THE WEALTH: Six Hendrick Motorsports drivers have gone to victory lane in the Southern 500, tied for the most all time. GRAF JR. 2024 NXS 3rd  Race of Season: The August 31st race at Darlington Raceway will mark Joe Graf Jr.’s 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) 3rd  race thus far in the season.  With 2 of the 4 scheduled starts for Graf Jr. behind him, Joe has returned to the Xfinity series better than ever.  With an average finish through the first two races of 14.5, he is on pace to shatter his previous season’s number of 25.3.  Joe will look to continue his success thus far at Darlington.

RETURN TO JGR: Graf Jr. competed in the full, 33 race NXS season in 2023 where he had three impressive top-10 performances at Daytona, Homestead, and Kansas, highlighted by a best finish of seventh at Daytona.
