Chase Briscoe won the Cup Race while Joey Logano of Middletown, CT came up with a very respectful eighth place and Corey LaJoie took down ninth place with Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT earning a 12th. Not so fortunate was Boston’s Kaz Grala who placed 24th. Note that Corey LaJoie is the son of Randy La Joie of Norwalk, CT who was a two-time NASCAR Xfinity Champion,
In the Xfinity race a night earlier, it was Christopher Bell the winner while Parker Kligerman of Westport , CT was 13th. David Starr came home 24th then Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield took 26th. Bernie Perkins came in 34th with Kyle Weatherman picking up 37th while Joey Logano went out early with a 38th place overall. Note that Perkins and Weatherman both drive team cars for Cape Cod’s Chris and Mary Our who reside in Harwich, MA.
Will Power won the Indy Car race on Sunday at Milwaukee, WI while Woodbury, CT’s Santino Ferrucci took a fourth place which was one of his best finishes in the Indy Cars.
