Landen Lewis signed to Niece Motorsports Craftsman Truck Team for 2026Salisbury, NC (October 23, 2025) – Reigning zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock Series champion, Landen Lewis, has been signed by Niece Motorsports to a part-time driving opportunity in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) beginning in 2026.

Lewis, age 19 from Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, has made a name for himself competing on the short tracks in the grassroots ranks. His natural ability and work ethic have ranked him high on the list of rising prospects in the garage.

Daniel Suarez To Steer Spire Motorsports No. 7 Chevrolet ZL1 In 2026

Spire MotorsportsMOORESVILLE, N.C. (October 22, 2025) – Daniel Suarez, a two-time NASCAR Cup Series race winner and nine-year veteran of NASCAR’s premier division will move to Spire Motorsports for the 2026 season to pilot the team’s No. 7 Chevrolet ZL1.

Suarez, 33, spent the last five seasons at the controls of the No. 99 Chevy for Trackhouse Racing and will make his first start for Spire Motorsports during NASCAR’s annual pre-season festivities Feb. 1 at historic Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, N.C.

The battle for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship has reached its crescendo as Austin Beers and Justin Bonsignore settle the battle for the series championship during Thursday evening’s Virginia is for Racing Lovers 200 at Martinsville Speedway (7:30 p.m. ET on FloRacing).

Beers enters Thursday’s race with a 14-point advantage in the standings and needs only to finish eighth or better to claim the series championship regardless of what Bonsignore does. Bonsignore, however, is the defending winner at Martinsville and could turn the tide in his favor if things Beers stumbles at the 0.526-mile oval.

Goodyear Racing Notes – Martinsville Speedway

NASCAR Goodyear TiresNASCAR Cup Series teams will pair a new left-side Goodyear Racing Eagle tire with a familiar right-side tire at Martinsville Speedway this weekend.

The new left-side tire, which is designed for more fall-off than its predecessor, will make its race debut at Martinsville having been tested earlier this year at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The right-side tire has been used five times this year, including the spring race at Martinsville and most recently at New Hampshire in September.

How Did The Northeastern Drivers Do At Talladega?

Talladega SuperspeedwayChase Briscoe won the NASCAR Cup race at Talladega.   Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT came in 15th while Joey Logano of Middletown, CT came in 16th.  Anthony Alfredo of Ridgewood, CT ended up 21st.
Austin Hill won the Talladega NASCAR Xfinity race.  Anthony Alfredo ended his day in 33rd,
Gio Ruggerio of Seekonk, MA won his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck race this past weekend at Talladega. He was always in the hunt. Corey LaJoie was eighth while Parker Kligerman ending up 26th.  Lajoie is the son of two-time Xfinity Champion Randy LaJoie from Norwalk, CT.
