CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Nov. 7, 2025) – A roaring exhaust note that pierces eardrums. Engine vibrations felt throughout the body. The unmistakable scent of burning rubber. The high-pitched squeal of tires struggling to maintain grip as asphalt gets eaten up in a blur.

For NASCAR Cup Series drivers, these sensations describe a typical Sunday. For veterans dealing with post-traumatic stress (PTS), it’s motorsports therapy.

Trackhouse Gears Up for 2026 Season

Trackhouse RacingConcord, North Carolina – Trackhouse Racing announced today personnel changes and car number adjustments for the winning three car organization.

Ross Chastain will continue to pilot the No. 1 Chevrolet as he has done since 2022. Brandon McSwain joins Trackhouse Racing from Hendrick Motorsports to lead Chastain and the No. 1 team. McSwain spent the past several seasons as race engineer at JR Motorsports and Hendrick Motorsports. Most recently, he served as lead race engineer for William Byron and the No. 24 team. Chastain’s crew chief for the past five seasons, Phil Surgen, has moved to another role within the organization.

How Did The Northeastern NASCAR Drivers Do At Phoenix?

Editor’s note:  this was delayed in posting due to webmaster’s mini-vacation…

PhoenixRyan Blaney won the Cup raceJoey Logano of Middletown, CT came in fourth while Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT ended his day in ninth.
Jesse Love won the Xfinity race.  Justin Bonsignore of Long Island, NY came in tenth while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgewood, CT made the top ten.  Not so fortunate was Patrick Emerling of Long Island, NY who ended his day in 36th.
In the Trucks it was Corey Heim going to Victory Lane.  Corey LaJoie ended up seventh,  while Gio Ruggiero of Seekonk, MA had a tough day and ended up 31st.

Victory Junction, A Serious Fun CampRANDLEMAN, N.C. (Nov. 6, 2025) – VIRginia International Raceway (VIR) will host its annual Charity Laps to benefit Victory Junction on Friday, November 21, 2025, inviting car enthusiasts from across the Southeast to hit the track for a cause.

From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., participants can drive their own vehicles on VIR’s world-renowned 3.27-mile full course, following a pace car for 15-20 minutes of non-competitive track time. Each session is available for just $25, with all proceeds supporting Victory Junction. Tickets for the Charity Laps event are available for purchase on-site at the event.
