Grandview Speedway Racing Family Mourns The Loss Of Former Announcer Ernie Saxton – NASCAR Modified & Sportsman Double Header This Saturday – Freedom 76 Weekend September 19 & 20

Grandview SpeedwayBECHTELSVILLE, PA. – The Grandview Speedway racing fraternity begins this week of racing in mourning after the passing of long-time race announcer, public relations expert, and one of a kind personality Ernie Saxton.

Saxton, who had retired from active announcing at Grandview following the 2013 race season, and serving as the track’s public relations and marketing mainstay for over 50 years from 1967 until his complete retirement in 2021, passed away on Sunday after a brief stay in the hospital last week.
