Wiscasset Speedway has a knack for making racing bigger and better with each and every passing year. This off-season was no exception with the addition of the Davis Erector Group Crate Modifieds to the already action-packed Group 1 lineup.
The division has been a work in progress for some time now, as track owner Richard Jordan manifested the idea with the purchase of a fleet of Crate Modifieds a handful of years back. Fans got their first taste of the cars at last season’s Fall Fury event with a 25-lap exhibition race full of exciting twists and turns.
The past 20 years has seen just about every major sanctioning body add something to the rule book or make technical changes in the hope of making the show more competitive, more exciting, and to make more people want to watch. (more…)
SEEKONK, Mass. — Kurt Vigeant of Oxford, MA will look to make his mark in the Tri Track Open Modified Series in 2021. The driver of the familiar white and orange No. 7 is set to compete in all of the races in the new season and hopes to continue to make gains into the top 10 as part of one of the most competitive fields in Modified racing.
