WHITINSVILLE, Mass. — Fresh off what was going to be a strong run at Stafford Motor Speedway last Friday night, the Stan Mertz Racing team spent the weekend scrambling after a motor issue ended that race abruptly for the team. However, as of Monday afternoon, the ship is back on track heading for a special race on Wednesday night.

Anglace is currently in his third full season of SK Light competition at Stafford and the 2021 season has seen him notch his first two career SK Light victories. Winchester, NH – Saturday night Monadnock Speedway celebrated the return of the Tri Track Modified racing series, the speedway’s 51st anniversary and the life of Johnny Corliss, former racer and car owner. The evenings events tied together nicely. Corliss, a Winchester businessman, was in the field of racers on Monadnock’s opening night, August 13, 1971 and at his passing was owner of one the race cars competing in the Tri Track series. WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Elmo Reckner won big on an exciting night of dirt track racing at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Saturday, August 14, winning the Rutland Regional Medical Center “Healthcare Heroes Night” feature for the headline Sportsman Modified division. Other winners on the night included John Gosselin, Chris Murray, rookie Daryl Gebo, and Kamden Duffy. WINCHESTER, N.H. — Strategy was the name of the game in the fourth round of the Tri Track Open Modified Series season at Monadnock Speedway on Saturday, August 14. While Chase Dowling started his day at the back of his qualifying heat and the 100-lap feature, the end of the 100-lap special sponsored by Wonder Casino saw him park the No. 9 Start Finish Motorsports machine in Victory Lane.
