Waterbury, VT and Naples, ME — A mix of new names and a slate of returning faces are set to keep fans on the edge of their seats at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway on Wednesday, September 15. As the Outlaw Open Modified Series readies to return to the track for the $5,000-to-win Twisted Tea Tripoint Showdown 75, the fourth race of the season will mark the final tune-up for the return of the historic Thompson 300 on Sunday, October 10.

WHITINSVILLE, Mass. — Fresh off what was going to be a strong run at Stafford Motor Speedway last Friday night, the Stan Mertz Racing team spent the weekend scrambling after a motor issue ended that race abruptly for the team. However, as of Monday afternoon, the ship is back on track heading for a special race on Wednesday night.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Open Modified cars returned to Stafford Motor Speedway for their fourth and final visit of the 2021 season on Friday, August 20th for the Lincoln Tech Open 80. NASCAR Cup Series driver Ryan Preece charged his way through the field over the final 31 laps after coming out of the pits during a caution period outside the top-10 to win the Lincoln Tech Open Modified 80. (Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway SK Light competitor Nick Anglace is set to make his Open Modified debut in the Lincoln Tech 80 this Friday, August 20. Anglace is currently in his third full season of SK Light competition at Stafford and the 2021 season has seen him notch his first two career SK Light victories. Anglace will be driving the #4x owned by Mike and Michelle Davini as a teammate to Tommy Barrett, Jr. and he will be carrying sponsorship from Lincoln Tech. (more…)
Winchester, NH – Saturday night Monadnock Speedway celebrated the return of the Tri Track Modified racing series, the speedway’s 51st anniversary and the life of Johnny Corliss, former racer and car owner. The evenings events tied together nicely. Corliss, a Winchester businessman, was in the field of racers on Monadnock’s opening night, August 13, 1971 and at his passing was owner of one the race cars competing in the Tri Track series. (more…)
