Justin Bonsignore Dominates Season Finale to Capture 2024 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Championship

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (Oct. 26, 2024) – Justin Bonsignore wasn’t going to be denied his fourth NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship, as he dominated the season finale Virginia is for Racing Lovers 300 at Martinsville Speedway to take home the Grandfather Clock and the year-end title.

The championship marks Bonsignore’s fourth title (2018, 2020, 2021, 2024), and the win – his first at Martinsville Speedway – gave him sole possession of second on the all-time Whelen Modified Tour wins list with 45.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Oct. 22, 2024) – In a contentious championship battle that began in the first race of the season at New Smyrna Speedway only miles from the birthplace of NASCAR, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour title will once again be decided in the final race of the season at one of NASCAR’s most historic tracks as Justin Bonsignore and Ron Silk enter the finale at Martinsville Speedway separated by 10 points.

NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Returns to North Wilkesboro Speedway For Crucial Championship Tilt

After the race was postponed for two weeks due to Hurricane Helene‘s impact on the Appalachain Mountains, North Wilkesboro Speedway is set to host the penultimate event of the 2024 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season.

Last year saw NASCAR‘s oldest division visit North Wilkesboro for the first time in its long, prestigious history. A field of 38 cars showed up to take the green flag, with veteran Matt Hirschman bringing home the victory over the championship frontrunners in Ron Silk and Justin Bonsignore. (more…)

Justin Bonsignore Scores Ninth Riverhead Raceway WMT Win In Eddie Partridge 256 Saturday

Justin Bonsignore of Holtsville took the lead with 25-laps remaining in the Eddie Partridge 256 Saturday night and drove off his his ninth career NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour victory. The win is the second in as many WMT races in the month of September for Bonsignore who won the September 3rd event at the Oswego Speedway and the late season hot streak has entrenched Justin into the tussle for the 2022 WMT drivers championship. Eric Goodale Heads To Riverhead Raceway With Early Season Championship Lead After Hot Start

In the previous 64 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour races contested at Riverhead Raceway there was perhaps no more a popular winner then Eric Goodale of Riverhead when he topped the late Ted Christopher for the win June 28th, 2014. Eric who grew up roughly three miles from the historic quarter mile bullring was swarmed by family and friends after his first career WMT triumph. Saturday May 15th the 35-year old Goodale will come to the Miller Lite 200 at Riverhead as the early season WMT championship leader and is hopeful to repeat the scene from June of 2014. (more…)

RoC Modifieds Returning to Chemung, NY This Weekend

Chemung, N.Y. – (May 1, 2021) – Chemung (N.Y.) Speedrome will provide the stage for the Race of Champions Modified Series return to racing in its home state of New York. The series was “idle” in the Empire State during the 2020 season due to the Covid-19 pandemic that wreaked havoc worldwide. Patrick Emerling Wins NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler at Stafford Speedway

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway welcomed the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour to Stafford Speedway for its first of three visits of the 2021 season on Friday, April 30 for the NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler. Patrick Emerling capitalized on a late race move that saw race leaders Ryan Preece and Ron Silk come together and spin right before rain hit Stafford Motor Speedway to inherit the lead and win the 49^th Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler, which was called with 130 of 150 laps complete.
