After a day-long rain delay, the race finished in a great battle between the two fastest cars on the track, as it should be. Chris Buescher backed up last week’s win at Richmond with a stout performance holding off Martin Truex, Jr. who arguably had the fastest car all day. But as we all know, the fastest car doesn’t always win.
After Niece Motorsport’s driver Carson Hocevar emerged victorious at Richmond Raceway, the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Playoffs are set to get underway next weekend at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park for the TSport 200 (Saturday, August 11 at 9 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN, and SiriusXM Radio).
Martin Truex, Jr. returned to form at Sonoma showing off his road course skills by leading 51 of the 110 laps. MTJ was in the Top 10 in both early stages and was obviously set up for the long green flag runs that occurred.
Due to the recently released Pac-12 Conference college football schedule, the SuperMotocross World Championship Playoffs and Final dates are shifting. The newly released schedule now impacts the USC Trojans’ home games scheduled at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. (more…)
The NASCAR Xfinity Series wrapped up at Homestead-Miami Speedway last weekend and is now heading into its penultimate race of the season, the Dead On Tools 250 taking place at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday, October 29 at 3 p.m. on NBC, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR radio.
The half-mile track located in Virginia has hosted 38 NASCAR Xfinity Series races, producing 24 different race winners and 19 different pole winners. The inaugural Xfinity Series race at Martinsville Speedway was on March 28, 1982 and was won by Sam Ard.
For the first-time since 2019, the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs return to Homestead-Miami Speedway for this Sunday’s Dixie Vodka 400 at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90). Team Penske’s Joey Logano is the first driver to earn a spot in the Championship 4 Round with his victory last weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, leaving three positions still up for grabs but only two chances left to secure them.
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series has had the last couple of weeks off but will be back for some more Playoff action on Saturday, Oct. 22 at Homestead-Miami Speedway for the Baptist Health 200 at 1 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio as the first part of a doubleheader Saturday of racing at the 1.5-mile track. The NASCAR Xfinity Series race, the Contender Boats 300, will follow the Truck race at 4:30 p.m. ET on USA, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
The intense NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs Round of 12 comes down to this weekend at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course for the Bank of America ROVAL 400 elimination-race at 2 p.m. ET this Sunday, October 9 on NBC, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Channel 90). The 12-driver Playoff field will be cut to eight as four driver’s title hopes will come to an end this weekend.
Four NASCAR Cup Series Playoff races into the 2022 championship run and none of the Playoff drivers have won any of the postseason races this season, leaving all 12 still looking to clinch their spot in the Round of 8 with two races left in the Round of 12 – Talladega Superspeedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL.
